Meh and woo, all in one

Dear websites of the future, specifically shopping ones,
The waiting room thing is annoying as hell. Don't do it. It's usually a lie (Mattel's American Girl, Matty Collector, wait, maybe it's a Mattel thing...) designed to hose those who actually sit and wait while everyone else just hits refresh until they hit paydirt or get bored and move on, which cost you a sale either way.

Scentsy's doing a sale and I've been waiting for the last five minutes to enter the site with a, "It's your turn, please wait while we redirect you" message.

Jesus. If you can't handle a sale don't promote it so crazily.

"Please click to confirm you would still like to enter the site."

Annnnnnd still not in yet. The. Fuzzy?

Sigh. To give up or to keep trying, that is the question... It's been 12 minutes since I got that message. Still not there. This doesn't even count the wait time to get to the front of the line.

Annnnnnnnnnd it just flashed to the site and then back to the waiting room. Are you kidding me?

Took 22 minutes. Nothing on anyone's wishlist was on sale. Their shipping is more insane than AG's, so I basically wasted an hour and will do so again tomorrow. Great.


While we wait, I suppose I could update you on the HSN situation. Nov 20th, I ordered a Too Faced Melted Lipsticks set (French Kisses, maybe?) with four colors in sample size. It's the thing I was squeeing about Friday, which is when it was allegedly delivered. Only it wasn't because I was awake when the post office claims they left it at my door. Also, Mums was home, about to take the dog out for a walk or had just taken the dog out for a short walk. There was no way she'd have missed either seeing a box (or large envelope? I don't know how it's shipped) or the mailman skulking down the parking lot. Just not gonna happen.

Still. In AG world, I'd heard of things being scanned but not actually delivered for a day or two. Saturday. Nada. Monday. Nada. Yesterday? Nope. I talked to someone whose wife works for the PO and she was pretty much of the mind that if it hadn't arrived by... Monday? Maybe Tuesday, anyway, if it hadn't shown by then, it had obviously been stolen.

Sooooooo... I contacted HSN and they asked if it was possible a neighbor, friend, or relative was holding the package for me. No, HSN, it is not. I did check, and I posted on the online neighborhood thing just in case, but I didn't get a nibble. Did find out that a neighbor is a Trump supporter. That alone is horrifying. Contacted the Post Office over the weekend. This morning I finally got the form email that just says they got my email and they'll get back to me whenever. Meanwhile, HSN is giving me my money back because clearly this thing is lost and they sold out so they can't just resend it.

I'm bummed because I really wanted to try it and I liked the whole flex pay angle. Sigh.

On the plus side, I ordered my brother's gift(s) and it's only December 2nd. Usually his are the absolute last I buy before the holiday because he never gives me a list of what he wants until Dec. 23rd. :P
