Let's start silly and end weird
Feb. 22nd, 2016 09:34 pmSo many AG things to discuss (Wellie Wishers is more than a name! Melody debuted on TV!) and I'm too tired to do any justice to any of them. One can skip over to Lyssie & Lilly and then bounce back or tomorrow we'll play catch up.
Until then, we take a moment to reflect on how weird brains are.
The other day, I somehow wound up getting recommended this song on youtube:
Which is probably because I was bouncing around from one 90's song to another and eventually Canada likes to remind people that it exists, dammit.
Thing is, I used to have this song downloaded waaaaaaaaaay back when (I'm old, I can say that) but I don't remember how that happened. I mean, it could have come from the Canadian friend, but it could have just as easily been on some random personal website, probably from one of the minds behind a Sailormoon site. Or via IRC. Really, there's no way to know unless it was the Canadian and I ask her point blank AND she remembers.
Anyway, I was pretty excited to hear the song again since that computer is long gone and I couldn't tell you if I ever put it on a CD. It was one of those that would show up whenever you'd put things on random.
Ignoring the video itself (sorry) because I know I never saw it before, I have an almost perfect memory of the music but the vocals? Nope. My brain just went "uhhhhh... wha?" No, brain, you don't get to recall half the song and then deny the other half. That's just not how this works. It's been bugging me for a couple of days, honestly.
Then again, brains forget all kinds of things. I leave you with this, which made me laugh and cry at the same time:
Went to visit Ari and I asked her about the Canadian's ex (who is/was one of Ari's friends) and she didn't know the answer to the question, so I asked Cass. Cass said she wasn't actually friends with them on FB and had only reached out to them to tell them about Ari's accident.
A: "What accident?"
C: "Well, your uh, heart attack."
A: "I had a heart attack?! When?"
