Guess who killed their back? Yeah, it's me. Cookies are to your left, help yourselves. It was part of the fight last night but I've learned my lesson. Basically I will be hiding out until my back stops screaming every time I move a little too fast or too far one way or the other. :P
New Tegan and Sara album to look forward to. Huzzah! And the other part of my first clothes order showed up. I'd forgotten which shirts I actually wound up with, so I was very confused when neither looked like the ones I thought I'd thrown in the cart. They're just super plain and boring shirts that swear they're different styles but um... sure. Okay. The skirts are basically the same skirt but in longer and shorter forms. The longer one is too long to be super flattering but will work well enough for why I bought it. (To lounge around in and walk the dog without having to get my jeans on.)
While I wait for my bedding to come out of the washer/dryer, let's talk makeup.
I tried that Marc Jacobs lip liner. It's a teeny tiny sample (smaller than I thought initially) and I'm not fond of the look of it on its own, but I'm not really into liner on its own anyway so that's not a shock. It's pretty packaging and it goes on and stays well enough, but I'd never shell out for the full size, y'know?
Tried the L'Oreal Butterfly Sculpt mascara (the new one with the purple/silver tube) and it's actually something I think I love. Initially I borked one eye (which gave me an excuse to try out the Garnier Micellar Water, which ain't bad either) but left the other because dude. Science. It lasted the entire day, through sleep even, with no flaking. I wore it to work (well, a new application, clearly) and it held up pretty well. I'm not sure it actually achieved the tightline look, but it coated my lashes from root to tip (which is something I can almost never achieve without stabbing myself in the eyeball) and was pretty awesome. I wonder if it would play well with others...
Thanks to a FB friend, I remembered to sign up for the Walmart Beauty Box. I haven't tried anything yet, aside from the Vera Wang perfume sample that I loathe (Iris and Periwinkle, what did I ever do to you?) and I gave Mums the Brilliant Brunette shampoo because I'm not a brunette. She also got the Burts Bees sample because I'm too pale for the colors they sent. WOE. Still, I'm hopeful the Neutrogena lip crayon won't be awful (everyone else gets pink and I get a nude) because that alone would be worth the price of admission for me. We'll see.
Now, I'm off to work on my MH babble. Maybe. I might go back to Murder She Wrote. I do like the Dennis episodes...
