I'm going to spend more time waiting on the pool than I am actually in the damn thing. Look, pool dude, if this was gonna be a longer thing than last time (it is), then you could've said something. Seriously, man. I'd have been okay with it.
That was 40 minutes ago.
In case anyone wondered, I stood there for pretty much an hour while pool dude did whatever he was doing, he said not one word when I came in other than hello, and eventually he climbed into his truck, with the hoses still on, and drove away.
Still said nothing.
So... I waited another ten minutes and he didn't reappear, so I went swimming. An hour after he left, and I was on my way home, he drives by. Guess I shouldn't have turned the hoses off right before I left, huh? This is why you say stuff, dude! A simple "just refilling now, feel free to go on in and I'll be back in a little bit so leave the hoses on!" from across the fence would've worked just fine. Or even a "sorry, cleaning the pool this morning, come back in a bit" when I walked in originally would have also worked.
One last total first world problems whine: since the pool doesn't open til 9, maybe you could not eat up the only hour of the day it's open with cleaning and instead do it a bit earlier? Because I know full well they used to do it that way since it's not like the gate won't open before 9. (If the gate was on a timer, then yeah, I'd understand. But it's not so... clean before it opens?)
