September and storms
Sep. 1st, 2016 11:38 amSeptember, how I've missed thee. So naturally you show up with a tropical storm in tow. I hope everyone is okay/will be okay. Let me know you're all right so I only worry a little.
We're set to get hit or the fringes tomorrow afternoon/evening, and luckily I don't have to work. I'm not sure how much of that is "luckily" since I suspect that if the flooding is as bad as expected, we'd have closed and I'd have gotten paid anyway. Alas. Still, this way I'll be home and not have to worry about that.
Still, I have to work tonight and I don't wanna. It's truck night and I have to work til 8am and I'm gonna be dead on my feet because in the middle of regular truck we get food/candy and for the longest time we'd get that at the end of my shift, so when we do that stuff, my brain thinks "and now it's time to quit for the day" aaaaaaaaand it's not even close. Maybe with it showing up in the first half of my shift will help. Or maybe I will just be completely useless. Guess we'll find out, huh? :P
Grabbed two blind bags on my way out of work this morning. Care Bear Cousins (Didn't realize it was mostly Bears and very few Cousins) yielded Love-a-Lot and a Kitty in my Pocket. Wanted to see if those were cute at all. Jury's still out. Midge is kinda doofy looking and cute at the same time. But I really don't need another money pitt soo... we'll see.
eta: My Yankee Candle order arrived. My poor living room looks like a cardboard whirlwind hit it and there's now quite a bit more Halloween than there was before. I'm hoping I have time tomorrow to stash the boxes I want to keep for storage in the shed before the rain kicks in.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with everything I ordered. There's one or two items I'm not as in love with as I thought I'd be, but there are also a couple I love more than I thought I would (and one of them I was sure I'd love so that's saying something). Tomorrow I'm hoping to take pictures, or at least share the stock photos since I think only a few of these things are completely sold out, and even then some of those are available at Hallmark stores.
Anyway, happiness is me and Halloween goodies. :D
