When I walked the dog this morning, we took the long route (but not the super long one) and it was kinda a ghost town. I'm not sure how much of it is people who are still here don't have to work, so there wasn't the parade of cars driving by or people walking their dogs, but I'm betting quite a few people evacuated. As we came home, I'm pretty sure the neighbors were packing their car to leave. So we'll see.

I'm off to shower.

GOTY 2017 is Gabriela McBride. An African American Girl who is a tap dancer. She is the exact same as truly me #46 which was discontinued this summer. Her pet is a cat. Tenney Grant will be a Truly Me character

Storm Update, The Night Of version.

It started raining pretty steadily maybe around two this afternoon, maybe a smidge earlier. The rain bands come and go, but it's just varying the intensity of the rain at this point. The wind is starting to kick up and the power's been flickering a little.

Mom and I tired of the various weather reports from the local stations and Mom tired of the Weather Channel after four minutes. They were doing a stupid "and how does it feel to evacuate and leave everything you hold dear behind, not knowing whether it'll be there when you return" bit, so I don't blame her.

I'm hoping the dog gets up to go out sometime soon because Mums feels that if she does, she might make it the rest of the night without trying to go out. Which would be great seeing as the storm is still set to officially hit at 2am.

And now I hear the transformers blowing so we'll update this later if possible.

Times it is not fun to have a dog: hurricane dog walk. Got the joy of running from an ominous crack when trying to get the dog to stop taking 400 years sniffing for a place to pee. Branches everywhere. She peed on a branch and then the crack. Clearly the branches are together against us.
