impy: (halloween)
How I spent yesterday, in case you wondered. Avoiding Facebook because dude and also it's a time suck. And also Mom was supposed to talk to my aunt since it was her birthday. To properly keep me away, I needed a project. Luckily, my procrastination skills are A+ and I still hadn't gotten around to changing the AG army into their Halloween gear. So I broke out the Sisters DVD and a notepad and made a list of the actual costumes I have, the costumes I could easily make, and the ones I usually do though I keep thinking I'll buy/make more costumes and just not do the BSC again this year. But let's be honest, until I actually do the buying thing, we'll keep doing the BSC thing. Or, uh, until I get around to making my Dawn and then I don't think I can do the BSC as a costume anymore. But today is not that day so...

This worked in a couple of ways. One, this is the season I really don't like for Sisters, at least Georgie's storyline. I kept wanting to scream at the screen whenever she was on because... well... it's not a good storyline and it hits way too close to home. I'd forgotten that Clooney died at the start of this season and that sets Teddy off the rails entirely and Frankie is given a boxer of the not dog variety. Really, I only remember that Clooney died sometime (and that Teddy did not take it well), that Georgie's storyline mirrored a different aunt's, and that Alex was there with Big Al.

Anyway, the problem with the AG army is the reason I've been dragging my feet. I had to get into the closet and dig around and that basically involves dragging out 75% of the clothes out of the cabinet I keep them in (the rest are in boxes elsewhere in the closet) and since I have to cobble together costumes for most of the army, I can't just fling all the bags back in as I go. Nope, what if I need this purple shirt later? So the bed quickly was covered and I'd even taken my stereo down and moved that table over to help me. Yeah, I covered that pretty quick. Oi.

At the end of the afternoon, I think I'd dressed less than half the army. Unless I make good on my threat to just dress most of the army in costume and send the rest out in PJs from when I went on a PJ buying frenzy. Which I might do because dolly PJs are cute and I'm lazy. I think I still have to do most of the BSC (Jessi and Mal are done, and honestly Kristy's costume is easy) but they always require some thought beyond the three I did already. Abby requires hair work, too. Still, it's a start and I've moved around the dolls so that I don't have to dig for the ones who need costumes.

It took forever and there was a lot of "oooh, when did I get that?" and "why haven't I used this already?!" which is how the PJs came about.

Work tonight so I'm gonna get some icecream and finish my laundry. Woo.

^Full list of AG in TRU stores. Also, if you've got an Amazon warehouse in your state and your state does sales tax but you hadn't previously had to pay tax because no AG store in your state, well... now you do. Because of AG's sales of Melody and Maryellen via Amazon. What you can't see is me flicking those two poor characters off because their AG bundles do nothing for me but now charge me extra for just existing.
