Oct. 22nd, 2017 03:51 pmI know that in the battle of the boozy broad sitcoms of the 90's I'm supposed to be an AbFab girl but I've always been a Cybill girl at heart. Maybe it was because I saw it first or maybe it's because I tend to prefer my characters to be, y'know, likable or something else entirely... but finding it on Amazon Prime has turned today into total comfort food tv day.
B-but weren't you supposed to go to Myrtle Beach today, you might be asking (if you've got a great memory) and the answer is yes, yes I was. But around 3:30 this morning Mother Nature kicked me in the girlie parts and said, "All plans are cancelled. Also, I'm only being this nice to give you a preview instead of the full show because, well, you're literally the only minion here." So kind.
It's raining and now I'm going back to cuddling with the cat and watching Cybill while feeling guilty about cancelling my plans but also knowing sometimes you just can't get crammed into a car for two hours both ways.
Oh, and I picked up My Best Friend's Exorcism. I didn't realize it was set in Charleston. Eta: Just got to the part where it's confirmed that Albermarle Academy is Porter Gaud. Confirmed by location to the Crescent, the neighborhood I grew up in. Well. Well. This is a new thing. I am intrigued, book.
