The countdown is almost over
Oct. 30th, 2017 08:41 amIf you were wondering, last night did not happen. I do not know why, I tried to ask in a roundabout way but when I realized I couldn't get any info that way and if I asked flat out I would be unable to do so politely, I just grabbed my sweater and stalked out into the night to freeze my hands off.
Because of course it was almost actually freezing two days before Halloween while Halloween itself is set to be a low of 50, if that. I mean, it's much better than last year's heatwave but still. Plus side, the cold managed to sap my rage. Well, that and finding the house with a kitty jack-o-lantern that we didn't see the night before. Look, for Halloween my expectations and standards are painfully low.
This morning I found out that my little sparkle pumpkins either ate their batteries or have come to the end of their life expectancy. I'll replace the batteries tomorrow and hope for the best. Spent an hour looking for the key to the shed but it was in Widget's room. Also, the luminarias I thought I bought last year weren't actually what I thought so that's a bust. It's okay because I don't think I had quite enough LED tea lights for them all. Today I'm going through and basically trying to make sure everything is ready for tomorrow. :D
Started on Stranger Things 2. Have had to run from spoilers already because people are jerks and would not survive my world takeover.
Not quite sure what to make of the crows or ravens flying overhead this morning. I'll take the cold and their presence as a good Halloween omen though. Just have to defend the candy one more night...
