Where are you Christmas

Despite this being a very chilly December, it hasn't felt like Christmas at all. Not sure if it's because I'm working all the time or if the new store lacks soul or ... well, it's probably because the dog is either about to get another miracle or she's decided not to make it to her birthday. To be fair, I thought she wouldn't live to Halloween and she not only did but she rallied. But I don't think that's going to happen again.

I suppose that is how my family celebrates some years. Before I was born, there was the year my dad's father died a week before Christmas, the next year my mom's mother died on Christmas and her sister died New Year's Day, so a week later. Widget's namesake died today however many years ago... like I joke a holidays being dangerous for me but yeah. Anyway, gotta get some sleep before work.
