Feb. 9th, 2019 09:20 am*counts pennies* Tomorrow my polishes should go on sale. I am going to spend all the money! But not literally. I do have to whittle down my clearance Essies though because I think I just grabbed most of them and swatches have told me that a few can go back because I will likely never wear them and be just fine with that.
I tried out my Zoya Tinsley and the universe just bent to her will and I don't understand. It's supposed to be rose gold and at first that's very much how it appears on the nail. And then on day two (and every day following) it's definitely a pink polish until the light hits it dead on and then it shifts to a spectacularly orange shade of peach. I thought I was going nuts but Mums confirmed it. So I'm not sure if this is a case of the polish reacting to the base/top coat or what. Or maybe I just have weird luck with Zoya pinks?
In other news, work was also clearancing out those little blind bag Marvel Tsum Tsums and I picked up six of whatever wave included Groot, Rocket, Daredevil on a gargoyle, Vision, Green Goblin, and the chance at a Thanos rare or something. I don't think I've ever bought any of them but for 99 cents before my discount and the chance of snagging Groot and/or Rocket? Fuck. Yes. I did debate it a little longer and realized that I wouldn't mind most of the options aside from Vision and Thanos. So I joked I would wind up with six little Thanos monstrocities as that's how luck works.
Spoiler: I did not.
First one was Green Goblin, which I was okay with because his look is very Halloween-y. Then I waited a few hours and opened a second. Rocket!!! Opened a third. Groot!!! I hollered down to Mums that I got them and she told me that should I get another, they were hers.
Fourth was Groot. Fifth was Daredevil and Sixth was Vision. Since Mom wanted Groot most of all, she was okay with that.
What else, what else. Finally got around to watching Snow White and The Huntsman which was stupidly gorgeous and if I ignored the bts shenanigans and the weirdness of them obviously not having any clue whatsoever to do with SW herself, I really enjoyed it. Naturally the second one is not available streaming anywhere. Sigh.
AG's busy setting their customer relations on fire (offer free eye replacement and in return fuck up the dolls in ways I can't even understand how it happened) and yet their 5.95 shipping is seriously making me question buying Blaire... Decisions! I do have that reward I need to spend, which is what is pushing me ever closer to the yes side. On the other hand, I will be pissed if I get a wonky one. But I will be even more pissed if they don't do free shipping at all or don't do it til way later due to Easter being late.
Now to sleep because period time is not fun time.
