Feb. 24th, 2019 09:07 amDear anxiety, shut the fuck up. Seriously, I have enough legitimate things for you to twist that you do not need to take on any additional work.
Finally got around to ordering one of the High and Mighty shelves I've been eying for awhile. I thought I was going to put it above my closet door but it wasn't quite big enough to not look off so instead it's above my stereo. I'm going to agree with the people who say that it's not something you can push in with just your thumbs. I managed to get the middle bracket in just by pushing with my palm, so it's probably possible to do that on anything that's not really above your shoulders, but I did have to use my flashlight (because who knows where the hammers are) to pound the other two in. I am also not... entirely sure one could really remove this without it looking funky. Oh, and the sticky level part did not stick. I had to tape that sucker up. But based on how well it seems to be working *knocks furiously on wood* and the weight restrictions, I'm really surprised that this isn't something in the Command hooks line.
Anyway, pictures later once I find my bed and put stuff back on the hope chest. I'm not sure whether to continue with my plan to put my Funkos up there (other than Luna) or maybe put some of the doll army up there instead. Since the Funkos are boxed, I could probably fit most of them up there if I stack 'em artfully enough. But the height is a bit weird since I have my Sailormoon print where it is to cover the wall wonk that the previous people did. (They clearly tried to hang something and needed a few tries.)
I did the unthinkable and listened to Tumblr and gave the One Day At A Time reboot a shot. We will discuss this later probably, but I've loved Justina Machado since her stint as Sunny on Missing so it was already on my maybe watch list. And she's still fabulous. I get why people have latched onto the show so hardcore. I also get why people might never make it beyond the pilot.
