I hate time change in the fall. I never have the night off, and this year I had to go in specifically to work it before resuming my very small vacation. ( I hate people. )

So. Standing in one place for basically an hour in the middle of a night where I wouldn't finish all my stuff short of a goddamn miracle because I had to run all over the store, plus the additional hour meant that my ankle started screaming. It's still screaming. It's not fun.

However, let's shift gears to something more fun. Sometime Tuesday or Wednesday, I was struck by the idea to do Halloween ~nail art~ of a fairly basic kind. The previous week, I'd painted my nails black, white, orange, and purple (Holo Taco One Coat Black, Cover Girl Flamed Out, Cover Girl Snow Storm, and Zoya Isa) and applied stickers! However, after a week+ of wear, most of them were either about to start peeling/chipping or had already done so. I debated just doing that again, as my normal Halloween solution was to use the polish stickers that were big a few years ago but at the start of the month I sent my nails back to being short and the stickers work better on longer nails. But no, middle of the night me decided, I'm gonna do stitches.

First polish of November proper is a two-fer in that I took advantage of Zoya's sale to launch their holiday collection and bought Sedona. Not realizing that it is basically a dupe of Kalista, which I bought during the BTS sale. I have them both on right now and while no pictures because I can't hobble around without looking most pathetic and I am not taking that show outside, and uh, yeah. If I didn't tell you I was wearing two different colors on my thumbs, you'd never know. Hell, telling you and you probably wouldn't know. Kalista is thinner on the first coat while Sedona is pretty much one coat of pretty, and technically Kalista has more of a golden shimmer but again, short of direct light, you're never going to notice.

I'd say that'll teach me to wait for comparison photos/videos but let's be honest. It won't.

Tried DinoDrac's pumpkin seed recipe this year. I...added too much salt. If not for that, I think I'd really enjoy it, as the seeds I get that aren't complete salt bombs are quite tasty. I'm not sure if Widget, who is a salt addict, swiped the second bag of them or not. After realizing my mistake, I consoled myself with the thought that he'd like them. But when I had him try one, his review was "they're ok." However, Mums split the seeds into two bags and one disappeared. I've been working on the other. Should I try this again, I'll ease off on the salt and up the sugar.

Okay, time to find something to eat (seeds?) before I get cranky.
