Jan. 4th, 2020 09:02 amI'm hoping to get to bed soon before I wake up again (damn you, second wind) so I'll keep this brief. Yesterday was Dad's birthday and I'll be honest and say it was not the easiest of his birthdays since his death.
In other news, work did not pay me for my holiday working (Christmas), so they'll be adding it to my next check and I... don't know how they bungled it for me and for Ms. G? Did anyone get paid for Christmas at our store? Who knows. I'll have to keep an eye out for whether or not they try and fuck us over for New Year's, too. I've gotta say, this new store manager isn't really making me think he's competent. Which is particularly weird since I was working at the store when our old SM trained him, so I know he knows better.
Still, I shall concentrate on the hopes of a fluffier than usual check. Huzzah? I think I'll also be putting in for a random day off sometime soon.
My Boxing Day Zoya order finally shipped but it's going to take half of forever to get here. Since I'm still drowning in polish from before Christmas, I suppose I shouldn't complain too much.
Running polish wear for the year: NYE color was/is Holo Taco Rainbow Snow. Next up (and is already on one nail) is Pahlish Clockwork Castle.
I'm hoping to get back on recap track this weekend, but I also need to pick up my glasses, so we'll see how well that works. Some years the new glasses don't give me an insta-headache and some years I curse everyone and everything.
