Mar. 4th, 2020 07:05 amI hate spring. I know it's still technically winter, and I cling to the hope that the cold weather will return ASAP, but the pollen has been coating everything for a couple of weeks now, and yesterday you could see it pooling in the pond so yeah. My allergies have basically taken a sledgehammer to my sinuses. I hate it.
Yesterday was the anniversary of Dad's death and to celebrate I cleaned a bit and we had my brother pick up Outback (I paid). Luckily, unlike last time, it was mostly tasty. I gather he had to go in and then poke through the bag to make sure we actually got what we ordered, but the food was pretty good. My fries were stone cold and my baked potato was burned (howthefuck) but cold aussie fries are still good. No saving the tater, sadly. But the croutons were back to the way they should be and the salad and steak were nums. Mom liked her food and Widget absolutely inhaled his. I was a little bummed that we didn't go out but Mom wasn't feeling well so perhaps at a later date.
My new camera arrived yesterday, but it didn't show up until I went up to take a small nap before having to order dinner, so I haven't done anything more than charge the battery. Today we'll see how it goes. If all goes well, I might have pics of Joss to share. :D Well, I will either way, it's just that I'm hoping these suck less than the ones I took with my phone.
I mostly finished Swatch-A-Thon. I'd preordered a trio of polishes back in January (new brand) and they showed up yesterday afternoon. I've swatched every other polish that I can think of in the house so um... yay? I have to sort the colors out, though I think I might wait for me to remember to order larger rings, but the painting is done.
Plumber is supposed to come this morning so I'll be skittering upstairs soon. I'm not sure if I'll fiddle with the camera or nap as I woke up much earlier than I thought I would... plus I just took an allergy pill and it might knock me for a loop.
Paid off my CB preorder so I don't have to worry about that later, aside from shipping.
Looks like nap is gonna win for now. Perhaps I shall return with Joss pics.
