Sweet dreams are not made of this

Rude, nightmare. If you're going to stick around for various incarnations, you should at least let me write down what you were about before finally leaving. As it is, what am I to do with the remnants of a sort of nightmare that involved open water, a flare gun, and a very young Ben Affleck in the movie version of a story based on a book that may or may not have been ripped off from another book which might've been a True Story?


I don't remember much other than having to try and reassure a coworker (who turned out to be nutter butters) that work was notorious for not training people properly and it wasn't like anyone expected her to know everything right away. Which somehow turned into an "oh shit, the hurricane didn't turn like expected!" thing. Which is where the water came in. And that turned into a very Pike kind of scenario with five people riding out a storm and then too many people get super sloppy drunk, someone breaks out the flare gun and obviously someone gets hurt. Which leads to MURDER. Annnnnnnnnnnd when I had enough of that, I woke up but drifted right back to it when I fell asleep and it turns out that was based on a book (or the book was based on that?) and there was another book with a very similar premise only one is considered good and the other is considered trash. Basically like having to re-do the thing at least once and then discuss the merits of it and why people in the 80's looooooooved one book but hated the other. It was very odd.


I assume the sort of nightmares are due to the anxiety of this week being chock-full of appointments, including the big three doctor visits.

Sigh. And naturally the period from hell came roaring back to life. Blergh.
