May. 8th, 2021 10:33 amI underestimated just how busy last night would be. I knew it would be busy but I didn't expect to not even finish my normal to-do list tasks. (Face the front half of the store, take out the trash at the end of my shift, vacuum, and keep up with photo orders since it's a picture holiday.)
Just. Go. Home.
Anyway. I need someone to tell me I do not need the Stay Golden polish collection from Wildflower Lacquer. I mean, yes, I totally bought Straight Outta St. Olaf for the name and these are her siblings. *muse*
I'm also kind of itching for a new AG doll. I'm hoping this will go away once I either OD on everyone's pictures of the anniversary dolls or I get an extra moment to breathe and go hang out with annnnnnnnnny of my AG army. But still. Everyone else is swan diving into dolls and I'm sitting here drowning in assholes flipping their shit because they won't read the "we card EVERYONE regardless of age" signs.
Did have a nice chat with a dude who works at one of the restaurants near where my brother lives. He finally realized that we're open, and might I remind everyone that at this point we are the ONLY thing open on the island at this point, and so we talked about how the public is uh... terrible. They get to enforce the mask policy and we don't but we both get people just being freakin' awful to us just because they suck. This all came about as a second customer kept chatting away about the changing landscape of the island, essentially. About halfway through the dude's monologue, the guy I was ringing up whispers "I have no idea what he's saying," before calling out, "For sure!" at just the right time for something. I wanted to laugh so badly but couldn't. Finally the other dude left and I confessed that I'd done okay with the gas stations changing hands multiple times over the years but then he started talking about his mama and I got lost.
Since we've discussed two of my other collections, might as well mention that the Disney NuiMOs for May were mostly meh (I liked exactly one outfit) but the Cruella ones for next month are most intriguing.
