Jan. 4th, 2022 10:42 amThoughts a bit scattered because it's kind of chilly here (probably actually cold outside but this house traps heat) and I keep waiting for the dudes to be back to make enough noise to wake the effing dead.
Anyway, we now get to play the game of "covid? or not covid?" because my brother's ex (?)-gf has COVID. Again. And he was over here for Christmas and over the weekend sooooooooo. Yes. But I live in one of those places without at home covid tests available so we're playing the game of "wait for the boy to see if he's got symptoms and also see if we do." FUN. Which has brought us such fun thoughts as, "is this just subpar sugar/cheese popcorn or am I losing my sense of taste?" and "am I exhausted because of Covid or because I worked through the holidays while everyone else at the store got at least one off?"
Absolutely the most fun game you can have. Ugh. I mean, the exhaustion is probably also due to sleeping funky and period but still. One wonders.
Sunday night I tried to watch Encanto and the power went out no less than five times. Truly impressive, especially as half of those outages were even before the wind kicked up. You suck, Dominion. Anyway, Encanto made me cry multiple times and might be the first time in a very, very long time where my favorite character might just actually be the star? I'm not positive, but I think Mirabel is my favorite character and I don't know what to do with this because that NEVER happens. I need doll versions but they are sorely lacking. Why do I have to buy a set to get Luisa? (I know why.) Where the frick is Dolores? Where is my Animators' toddler Mirabel?!
Sigh.
I keep forgetting how bright winter sun is and how much I hate it. UGH.
To end on a happier note, dude, the new collector Mulan is STUNNING.
Annnnnnnnnd that is the sound of a large ladder being flung up against the back of the house so now I'm going to lose my mind.
