Apr. 19th, 2022 10:27 amFor Easter Mums and I watched the final arc of Season 1 of Arcane, which fittingly enough begins with The Boy Savior. Alas, she seems to have been coming down with something so I'm not sure how she felt about the episodes though she did watch and kind of gleefully checked on a couple of deaths to make sure she was right about them.
Otherwise, didn't do much for the holiday. Had some candy, worked alone even though they technically had another minion on duty but she was on day 1 of training so... I was alone, really. Since I was alone and had to run around like a loon, I came home and basically crashed immediately. Which then prompted me to wake up with a royal headache that I never could figure out whether it was caffeine withdrawal or sinus (damn you, Spring!) or both.
Spent Monday mucking about, working on catching up a little with my polish swatching (swatched my latest BKL order and it's beautiful) and finished the first season of Abbott Elementary, which I recommend giving a shot. I'd say give it a few episodes before giving up. Oh, am also caught up, sadly, on The Owl House.
Basically I spent the last 24 or so hours watching TV/videos, I suppose, because I also finally got around to watching Spiderman: No Way Home which is so very long. Mums and I debated watching it Sunday but she didn't think she'd make it that long. Honestly, I'm not sure the three episode arc of Arcane wasn't shorter than the movie. :P
Anyway. Spiderman. I get why people hyped it up but I don't feel quite the same way about it. I loved some things about it, a lot, but also it felt very much like a very long and very fun set up for the next Dr. Strange movie, which we've been setting up since WandaVision so...
( Spoilers, I suppose? )
Started Moon Knight and um... it's okay? I don't feel super strongly about it one way or the other beyond digging the suit and Oscar Isaac seems to be having fun.
I need something to watch that's not going to make my brain melt out of my ears.
