Jan. 28th, 2023 10:45 amI might've gone overboard last night, but one of my fave indie polish places did their last restock and had a sale on top to boot, so I ran through like a contestant on Supermarket Sweep to mixed results. I had a very small list of polishes I desperately wanted and then a much bigger list of polishes I would be quite happy to own. I snagged two of my desperate wants and checked out with everything I had in my cart at the time. Something had sold out in the meantime but it was okay because it wasn't one of my big two. Huzzah!
I went back to hunt down the third I really wanted (and there were variations of that polish since I think it was from their white multichrome collection) and failed to snag any because either the site slowed waaaaaaaaaaaay the fuck down or my computer did and I'm not sure which. This is when I started throwing things in my cart left and right and eventually ran for the checkout, only to realize like half my cart was gone. ;_; Since I truly don't remember which ones I was cartjacked on, it's fine. And unlike most times when you say something like that, it really is fine. I scooped up a few of the preorders they were doing so they'd be able to make enough of the newest polishes from the last round and quite a few shinies in general.
And then this morning I decided to poke around and see what was left over. Not a lot, honestly. From 16 pages down to 3. Luckily one of them was a preorder I'd somehow missed despite it being on my list as a fuck yes option. Soooooooooooo... I gathered up a good chunk of the orange polishes I'd literally been thinking about overnight, and a few others and checked out one final (for now?) time.
Seriously though, BKL managed to make me a fan of a lot of unusual polishes and took my iffy liking of orange polishes and made it turn to love. They were also very sweet about refunding me when I realized I'd somehow ordered two of the same polish in the second order frenzy. :D Probably didn't hurt that it was one they'd have no trouble selling.
Based on my yawning, I believe it's time for bed. Might try to finish this volume of Paper Girls though.
