In other news, apparently procrastination pays off as the CB books are on sale for basically B1G2. Don't mind if I do since I've been eying them pretty hardcore since they released the third book. AG's also having a 3X points sale so I'm gonna have a looksee in a few. I probably shouldn't partake because I'm trying to be good, but we'll see since I do have a reward to use this month.
Work's been... odd? I don't think I've been quite as stressed as I had been but I'm also thinking that's less things are better and more I've slipped back into the mindset of what are they gonna do at this point if I'm not 100%? I went in Tuesday and found out that three of our meager staff were in the hospital. The new ESM has kidney stones, Miss Jackie has pancreatitis (and in true Miss Jackie form, she called work and demanded the shift lead come pick her up from the hospital and take her home because they weren't feeding her properly), and the closest I have to a nemesis is having (had?) surgery related to the fluid in his legs. This is on top of D's vehicle being out of commission and the overnight SFL calling out because the cops took her license.
On the plus side, desperate as we are for employees, I do believe the store manager is smart enough not to hire the nutjob who previously applied and failed to appear for the interview but is now trying to apply again. This is the guy on a bike who drives everyone insane and while I understand the man is obviously lonely, he's also the same guy who played the Well, ACTUALLY Nazis weren't THAT bad... card. So, y'know. No.
For part of my mother's day gift, I ordered the kitty a new scratching post. I was joking about it at first but Mom actually seemed to mean it, so I'm going to hold her to it. I nearly got the pineapple but Mom and I both think she'd prefer one she can actually stretch alllllllllllllll the way out to use. It hasn't shipped yet but the free treats I got when I ordered it are on their way. :P
Now I've gotta figure out what to get Mom for Mom.
