Mar. 24th, 2025 03:50 am*yawns* Ugh. Since Widget's accident, I have had the absolute JOY of stepping in and doing a fair amount of the dishes. I've tried to be better and make sure I do them in the morning after I get home before I get too settled in and don't wanna move anymore. This is helped greatly by listening to something, preferably an audio book that doesn't require my full attention. So for the last couple of weeks I've been going through the Theo books because I assure you, my brain is not needed for them. Well, one was only available in audiobook for some reason and that's what sparked the realization that so long as I'm mentally elsewhere, I can handle dishes.
Which is a big thing because I fucking hate doing the dishes. Still. I bought some sponges at the Teeter yesterday after work and I've gotta remember to see about the Dawn spray thingie I like maybe being on sale somewhere. I didn't buy it at the Teeter because the spray bottle itself wasn't on sale but the refill was, but I didn't know if Widget chucked the bottle we had. (He did.)
Tis Spring officially, so I'm doing some cleaning in between my various low level games that take forever because who the fuck decided grinding needed to happen in EVERY game? Ugh. So, the pile of bedding that's been in front of the washer since Widget's accident got done (well, it's in the dryer and I think his quilt should have another go round just in case) and I'm washing my shower curtain liner until I remember to buy a new one. Cleaned the toilet, praying that doesn't upset the universe, and trying to avoid whatever I did before that prompted the headache I woke up with.
Speaking of sleep (kinda), I had the weirdest dream that you're gonna suffer through because I'll make it short and it involved the Golden Girls. In said dream, they were doing a reboot or something, which made everyone over a certain age scream in frustration. But then the promo for the show starts and it's the most AI shit my brain's ever come up with, as you have Sophia pop up and say hello. And you're thinking, "damn, did they just hologram Estelle Getty?" at first, but then you look a little closer and no, just a very similar vibe. Blanche was the most ~off~ in looks and it was not ignored in the dream how weird it was they were basically trying way too hard to clone the original. But interacting with the characters was fun and also made me realize that I was definitely raised in the South because they were all Miss Sophia/Blanche/Dorothy (didn't come across Rose) and about the time I woke up, someone was trying to figure out why a giant segment of the fandom was calling them Aunt Sophia/Blanche/Dorothy. Mostly though, I just remember Sophia saying hello in a similar way to one of the customers at work does. Kinda like a hug from my brain, actually.
