Scrubs from last night beckons. But first, did anyone else ever see White Noise?
I should point out that no matter how fabulous something might be, after I hit 23 hours no sleep, I start to doze off. So the wife, she dies. And the dad puts in a pretty convincing turn as nominee for worst dad ever, at least neglect without killing child wise. And the three shapes that kept appearing were freaky, as were the faces in the static. The premise? Scary, especially how the movie ends. Thing is, I kept closing my eyes and when I'd open them, the scene had shifted and I was sure I'd missed something. Like... what the fuck happened? He saved that woman, right? But he died, and the weird dude, he was caught, yes? But what happened to the things hunting people? Who decided that was an ending?
...And you do not end your movie, which you flaunt as based somehow in reality as "this phenomenon is real", with "one in twelve cases of evp is evviiiiiilllllllll!" Roughly translated as, "try this at home and you'll dieeeeeeee!" You really don't end it that way when your DVD then will show you how to try this at home. :p
Also saw Charlie & the Chocolate Factory which was cute. Very surreal, which is kind of something you should expect, I guess. The only thing that bugged me was parts of it look so... for lack of a better word, fake. I know, a movie looking fake. Imagine that. :p
