impyI'm in mourning. My black thumb seems to have altered its course of evil this year. Originally I planted two sets of seeds when it warmed up enough that visits to the porch didn't make me want to set myself on fire just to warm up. I added a third little pot shortly there after and ever since I have been CURSED. The dog knocked over the smaller pots. I fixed the second, but the third was screwed until I set up my fourth little pot. Then the cat broke the big pot [it was the one Widget made Mom last year in kindergarten] and then the dog stole the pot that had actually started sprouting things.
I could cry. :( So I've moved the surviving two pots to the spot over the door while I plot my next move. Outside in pots won't work [small and soil issues] and I keep hoping I'll have enough money to get actual plants but maybe I should just hold off on that and go for the glory of seed. Hmm. Damn, the porch had been such a good idea. Unless over the door does work.
I do wish my window weren't a squirrel perch, then I could use the one in my little room. As it is, even if they don't eat the stuff, they land and knock things over. As I found out the hard way last year. Still...
G'ah, it's cold again. But I have one more week until my vacation starts. It's not as long as I usually take, what with me having already taken two days this year, but I figured five days in a row is much better than simply taking two. I'm so excited and I'm not even going to be doing anything aside from maybe a movie with a couple of co-workers. DUDE. No work but paid anyway. :D
Seriously, that third week of vacation pay is going to make me cry the happy tears.
I packed up the remaining bits of Halloween stuff and re-distributed the previous box so now I can set up my new little mail system in the hallway. Yay me.
Also, last night's Applebees at work was a really bad idea. DUDE. Hamburgers should never still be squishy red! EVER. Unless you sign a waiver. Which I would never do.
Hrmm. This is from yesterday. Oops.
