impyI had a thing and it got eated. Woe. I need to eat something else and then see if I can sweet talk my way to Target. I need to buy Count Faaaaaaaaabulous, a Target gift card, and see if something else should fall in my basket before I checkout. But only from pre-approved aisles. And then I need to run into Kmart just in case hell hath frozen over.
And now for my SECRET SHAME... that is not secret anymore. Yes. That's right. I will fully cop to re-reading my Sweet Valley High in public. I will cut you if you point out that Christopher Pike has recently come across as a douche (have you read his books? This comes as a surprise how, exactly?), I gladly spend hours in the YA section of the used bookstores, I read LKH even though she drives me insane these days, and a thousand other things I'm pretty sure make me a dork.
It's fine.
But I kinda want more of the new Bratz than I first anticipated. Mostly I'm not sure how many I'd want to spend semi-full price for because yeah, MGAE fell asleep at the quality control wheel and I do not think that is something that should be rewarded. On the other hand, I like a few of them and I want Basic Sasha, even if her hair is ass-length and not the cute cut it should have been. (Guys? When I'm talking about short haired cuteness, you've abused the Rapunzel-like locks.) It's entirely possible that with the exception of Sasha (whom I have seen in stores) I will change my mind when I see them in person. It happened with the Twins. For half a second I was seized by the "TWINS!" mentality and then I saw them in person and thought to myself no fucking way. And it wasn't because their makeup was smeared or anything. It was just the new lips look weird on a lot of the dolls. I'm not bothered by it on all of them, but for some the color combos chosen or whatever happen to enhance the fish-lips.
Now. I'd like to distract you from my shame by pointing out that How to Train Your Dragon is coming. :D :D :D :D
