Ugh. I seem to have caught a cold from someone (was it you, lady who took off her mask to cough in my face?) and it's progressing rapidly. I'm also not 100% sure it's a cold but we'll go with that for now.

In any case, I spent the day in bed, trying not to die. I learned that I can be incredibly stupid sometimes, given the three hours I spent shivering from the cold and it only occurred to me after an embarrassingly long time to actually shimmy under the blanket I've been sleeping on top of. Oi. And then I spent the rest of the day alternating between hot and cold, only sleeping for maybe half an hour at a time. It was not pretty. I cried a little when I realized I'd slept for two hours.

Anyway, that aside, if you haven't heard, on the AG front, new books have been found on Amazon. Release date is August 27.

Hopefully this means she'll get some new outfits since she's gotten nothing since the BF launch, aside from a new meet outfit that's pretty close to her original one.

New girl: I'm gonna need you to not have the classic mold, k? Those protos we saw last year, I'm going to need them to be wrong. The doll, anyway. Redhead? Sure, but yank 61's wig color, k? And not classic mold. My needs are few. Unlike other people who are expecting/hoping for the world and are bound to be bitterly disappointed, I just have this one request: not classic mold.

Hmmmm....so a 1960s girl, likely? The PERFECT time to have a black historical and it's going to be another white girl? I mean, the space race is exciting and all but come ON. There was so much going on in the equality race during that decade. It seemed to me like the obvious choice for a black historical.

I'm very glad to see Josefina getting a journey book. I'll buy that. Too bad Ruthie and Cecile won't get their own. And yes, I hope this means that Josefina will get some new outfits. I feel like my Ruthie is getting so spoiled because she'll be getting most of the Kit outfits but the others are getting shafted. Though I liked how Sam's green dress looked on the pic of Cecile you shared so that's looking more and more likely. She might even look nice in some of the pink dresses Sam's been getting. I'll have to take a closer look at Sam's collection. I was eyeing that pink coat and hat but wasn't sure who it would go to, but now I'm thinking Cecile is the likely choice.

Once my tax refund comes in I'll use the free shipping code to go on a little shopping spree. Ruthie is going to get the most this time, but I'll get the peach dress for Josie at the very least. :D

There are rumors of next year's girl kind of sharing the same time period (60's) with this year's girl, so we'll see which way AG goes on that. I wonder how far into production AG was when they announced next year's girl.


I maaaaay have ordered Sam's new coat and when it comes, after we check the fit issues on Samantha, she'll let Cecile give it a whirl for you. :)

*snickers* So true on the sharing. It sounds like one would get one end of the decade and the other would get the other end, but it's still very much a guessing game on next year's girl.

Aww, thank you. :) The outfits have an ETA of Friday, so next weekend will be fashion weekend assuming I feel better by then!

Dude, you have my sympathies on the cold front. Apparently the upper respiratory infection I had is running rampant everywhere, and it starts out like you've got a cold or the flu. Fluids, Mucinex, and bad tv helped me. My mom, on the other hand, needed antibiotics. Feel better!

I've been knocking back fluids, knockoff Benedryl and Sudafed, and alternating between The Middle and The Golden Girls as my TV drugs of choice. I'm feeling better right now, but I'm a little worried this is that stage where you feel better and try to do too much stuff only to make everything worse.
