Sweet frick, ankle, what did I do to you? G'ah. Well, before I hobble upstairs and finish my laundry, I thought I'd share this with you:

AG's got a sneak peek of their new releases on Pinterest.

I'm not going to post the pictures because I'm lazy and my foot really is not happy with me, but let's take a moment to judge things based mostly on 'artfully' cropped pictures, shall we?

First up: nothing for Addy as far as I know. I'm pretty sure she was meant to be axed either by now or about now, but she's been granted a stay of execution. Probably because the new head of the company isn't a complete dumbass. Maybe.

Second: Josefina gets at least two new outfits. And a clone.
The pretty blue dress is her new holiday outfit. I kinda dig it, though it really does look like one of those dresses people show off after they take an outfit no one really likes (Marie Grace's Meet comes to mind) and throw it in some RIT dye. A little too monochromatic in these shots, but I like the color so I'm not too upset. I wasn't the biggest fan of her original holiday outfit but it seemed pretty iconic for Josefina. This a little less so. But pretty.

Her more casual look reminds me of a LE outfit of hers. Maybe more than one. Who knows. I think it leaked on eBay earlier but I'm too lazy to look it up on L&L, so on this alone, I kinda dig it as well.

#29 (the pictures are numbered) is not!Josefina. I dunno how I feel about this. On the one hand, I think Josefina is hurt tremendously by the wild variation in her eyebrows. She can look very cute to very surprised to very mean and all kinds of things in between. However, she also transitions very, very easily to a modern doll if memory serves. So this clone? Might kill Josefina. Then again, might not because people do tend to see the historicals as historical only and not someone to be dressed in more modern clothing.

I love Julie's new shoes. I... kind of cringe at her outfit but I'm willing to see how it plays out.


Maryellen's got a new holiday set (find the red reindeer and the 7up bottle/punch bowl) and a red polka dot dress. I am... intrigued. That apron shall be mine. She also has a pink fridge and a strawberry print... playsuit? Bathing suit? I dunno.

Bitty stuff is surprisingly cute.

Wellie Wishers get a holiday dress and... something. Dunno.

Truly Me kitchen will bankrupt people. I'm interested in the skating outfit and whatever not!Emily is wearing.

So far, I'm pretty sure I'll be snagging Maryellen's holiday stuff (well, not sure on the dress yet. We'll see) and the penguin pajamas. Lots of interesting stuff, though. Less than a week to go.

Oh, maybe we'll discuss Melody's Sneak Preview this weekend. Maybe.

Oh, my. I might buy some new clothes! I like Josefina's more casual number, although not sure enough to buy it. I really love her meet skirt. Julie's though. I think I need that. I love the shoes and tights and the colors in the crazy print. Mine's been wearing the same dress for years and she's my second fave AG doll, so it's about time she got a new outfit. And I want Maryellen's deer. Just the deer.

Melody is really cute in the pjs pic. I love her hair in braids. Hmm. No. No. If I buy anyone, it must be Addy.

Heh, poor Julie in the same outfit for years. But those purple shoes alone are worth waiting for!

That deer is talking to me. Saying, "buy me. Buyyyyyyyy me." And once it started talking, well, everything else did, too.

And Melody does look adorable in her PJ pic. I wonder if/when AG will put other dolls on Amazon along with Maryellen.

Well, it's Cecile's red dress, so at least it's really pretty. I think that's the most I ever bought from one AG collection. I got Marie-Grace, her green holiday dress, Cecile's red one and Cecile's purple/gold number. I loved Cecile's meet, too. I probably should have just gotten her. It's just...that mold. I didn't like it in person on Sonali, so I didn't want to risk it after I'd moved back home and didn't have AGPNY to dash into and check things out.

I'm still just bummed that the new historicals have those bigger three book sets. I'm a purist and I like the old six book sets. I haven't purchased any of the new editions because I think they'll look weird on my shelf. :(

I still want a Julie doll, and possibly MaryEllen although #61 has long held my interest too (basically I want a cute redhead and there just aren't very many). But my existing three are still packed somewhere. They must be in the storage unit still because they're definitely not here.

I hope that at some point in the future they split the books back up again and we get illustrations because holy crap is it hard to keep track of which Karen is which in Maryellen's stories. Then again, splitting Melody's books would be harder since they aren't really written the same way.

Julie, Julie, Julie! Although I think you've been talking about #61 for about as long. We're getting a not!Emily (with redder hair) so that ups the redheads to uh, two. And Maryellen. :p

Unrelated except that it has to do with your move and storage and stuff: I've been saving my double of mini Draculaura for you but never actually asked if you wanted her. Do you?
