And now for part two.
Jan. 2nd, 2017 10:42 amI should warn you that I woke up to my arm being asleep, my leg cramping, and basically I'm in a bit of a funk. So my opinions on things may be less sunny than the situation may actually warrant. You have been warned.

Tropical Print Dress // $14
Item#DWW22
Dolls will be ready for island breezes in this colorful floral shift dress, which features a bright blue mesh top layer. Double satin-elastic straps add a pretty touch.
I...uh...well... I guess we begin with something that isn't completely, totally eye-searingly awful. I just don't like it all that much and I wish you didn't have to find the page where they try and bundle this to see it on a doll because dresses are really hard to eyeball how they'll wind up looking.

Luckily for you lot, I love you.

Adventure Tank Set // $12
Item#DWW21
Her doll is ready for fun-filled jaunts in this cute, comfy set. The cotton jersey tank features a travel-themed graphic; to switch up her look, add the embroidered mesh cropped tank, which fastens in back and has a cinched shoulder strap on one side.
There's a lot of mesh going on in this 'collection' and we're only two pieces in. o_O; I like the pink shirt well enough, but that chartreuse crop tank thing is just a big pile of no thank you.

Tiered Tropical Skirt // $10
Item#DWW20
The bright hues of this two-tiered skirt will add a festive flair to her doll’s look. The top layer of embroidered mesh adds fullness to the cotton floral-print bottom layer.
Is it really mix and match if you just keep using the same fabric over and over? I don't mind the style, I suppose, though really I believe I had this in denim and mesh back in the 80's and I know for a damn fact my Barbies did (which is no insult to Barbie because that was an in demand piece) but this particular look still isn't for me .

Sequin Skirt // $10
Item#DWW19
Dolls will shine in this shimmery pink skirt, which adds a fun touch of glam to any occasion.
Unless people report back that this sucks horribly (too short, can't really match it properly, the sequins go flying and blind poor animals), I will likely buy this one because I like shiny things. It's easily my favorite piece from this go round of MnM but that ain't saying a damn thing.

Geo-Print Shorts // $10
Item#DWW18
Her doll will be ready for weekend fun in these bright, easy-fit sateen shorts. They feature stylish stud details on the front pockets and contrast-print back pockets.
I don't hate these. The right sale, the need for a $10 item for whatever reason... I wouldn't say no, but I'm not likely to actively hunt these down.

Sunshine Tank // $10
Item#DWW17
This lemon-yellow top will brighten any day, no matter the weather. It features a bit of glittery sparkle near the neckline.
I feel like they already did this shirt before, maybe back in... 2013? 2012? I dunno. I think this is the only other piece I'm actively going to try and get. Then again, the zoom feature is not kind to this piece so maybe not. Maybe... I waffle.

Pom-Pom Tee // $10
Item#DWW16
The bright colors of the pom-poms on the shoulder make this top pop. The friendly “Hello” graphic, ruffled sleeves, and side tie add even more fun touches.
Without the pom-poms, this would be a cute enough shirt. With them, it's hideous. Sadly, not the kind of hideous where I secretly love it for that bit of wtf and need it, want it. Nope, this is just simply me wondering why anyone would go, "YES. This is the look I was going for. It's all so clear now, so perfect!"

Fringe Vest // $8
Item#DWW15
This funky knit vest layers on the fun. The flowing fringe gives it a unique flair.
I'm good, thanks. This, again, isn't awful it's just not something I'll buy.

Blue Sandals // $14
Item#DWW24
These cute platform sandals feature a woven trim with golden thread accents.
So they are cute but I almost never buy shoes from AG seperately unless there's a sale. I just don't remember it's a thing and the prices are usually insane so... eh. I do think I have similar styl
es and this is one that doesn't suck so that's good to know.

Print Purse // $10
Item#DWW23
This pretty purse can hold everything a doll on the go needs. It features a sateen front panel and embroidery on the flap.
I also forget that purses are a thing. It's cute, though.

Green Gladiator Sandals // $14
Item#DWW25
Her doll will be ready for anything in these strappy sandals. Their bright hue and the tassels at the toes will add extra pizzazz to her feet.
First of all, A+ for using the word pizzazz for shoes this color. Second of all, um, no. Wearing shoes like this to go adventuring would likely end in pain. And I say this as someone who saw tennis shoes as an affront to all that was holy as a kid. Anyway, nope.
And now some more of the 'outfits' they've created:

Can't lie, this one's pretty cute. It's the main reason I'm considering those shorts, btw.

Oh hey, #47. How's it going?

...so your freckles are cute, kiddo.
Overall, I consider this round of Mix and Match a fail, but a win for my wallet since I like so little of it.

Fun and Games Sleepover Set // $34
Item#DWW14
Doll pals are invited to a night of giggles, goodies, and games. This fun set includes plenty of snacks for nighttime noshing, a doll-sized board game, and more!
Two invitations shaped like sleep masks—they fit both in the envelopes and on dolls’ heads!
A tray with chevron print
Two plates
Two cookies
Two napkins
Two milk glasses with straws
A cookie jar
Two sets of sliced apples, a container of apple dip, and a plate
A doll-sized Uno® game, including a box, game tray, three game sheets, game cards in a case, and instruction sheet
Full disclosure: some of my favorite memories of visiting my grandmother were of the Uno championships that would go on when they'd try and send the kids off to play elsewhere. You'd walk by for a drink or to give someone a hug and suddenly you were being courted to help "play creatively" by family members you didn't see often. Soooo... yeah. Itty bitty Uno set is calling my name. Loudly.
The apples and dip look kinda gross and the clumped cookies are a disappointment but whatcha gonna do. I like the 'jar' and just about everything else. This one I want.

Dream PJs // $24
Item#DWW28
Dolls will float up, up, and away to dreamland in these sweet balloon-themed PJs:
A jersey-knit top with fun flutter-cap sleeves
Mid-calf-length pants with allover print
Sweet plush slippers
A hairband
I like that the slippers are a little different from the usual style they throw our way. I like just about everything, actually. It's really cute (I think? Again, the trauma of all the MnM stuff makes me doubt my own judgement) and dammit, I do not want to fall in love with not!Emily. Anyway, might pick this up for Gabby before I grab her own.

Dotty Tank/Brief Set // $12
Item#DWW26
Her doll will be extra comfy in this cute, colorful set, made of soft cotton. One side of the crew-neck tank fastens with a pretty satin bow that matches the waistband of the briefs.
Cute. Maybe if it's on sale sometime.

Flowers and Dots Tank/Brief Set // $12
Item#DWW27
This sweet set features a jersey-knit tank with a pretty graphic and satin straps, paired with cute dotted boyshort briefs.
Also cute. Also maybe if on sale.

V-Neck Hoodie // $14
Item#DYG56
Great for layering over any casual doll outfit, this pink hoodie features a shallow V-neck, contrast sleeves, and thumbholes.
You had me at thumbholes, AG.
And now some extras I don't feel like going all out for:

Stripes and Dots Swimsuit is $14 and I'm including the picture because not!Ivy needs some love.
Starry Sunglasses will set you back $16. Swim Accessories will knock you back $18.
Bitty Baby got a valentine's outfit but I'm too lazy to go hunt it down right now. Overall, I'm glad I like Gabby's stuff more than most of this but I gather a lot of people are just going MEH overall to everything. I think I heard we're getting another little bit mid-January and then the Feb release.

Date: 2017-01-03 12:06 am (UTC)Those briefs make the dolls look really weird - like, it's highlighting the area that isn't, LOL.
I'm digging the dream pjs and the hoodie with thumbholes. I want real people clothes with long sleeves and thumbholes, I am such a sucker for that look :P

Date: 2017-01-03 02:43 am (UTC)I knowwwwww! I never have the money when thumbholes swing back into being a thing or I find out it was an actual thing months after its disappeared, so my love for it is mostly expressed through doll clothing. But one day. One day....
