Z Yang Doll & Book // $115
Item# FFD93

The 18" Z doll has warm brown eyes that open and close, and a beauty mark on her left cheek. Her dark-brown hair can be brushed and styled. She has a huggable cloth body, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl. She comes with The Real Z paperback book, plus a fun camera-ready outfit:
A crewneck printed tee with a camera graphic
A gray twill skirt with a turned-up hem
Soft and stretchy indigo leggings
Casual shoes with a bit of sparkle
Awww, Z is adorable. I'm a sucker for the Jess mold in general but Z's got that beauty mark and I like to encourage AG to do freckle-like things, dammit. Alas, I don't want to run the risk of the poop panties, so I'll be holding off for a bit to see if they reverse course on that as rumors have been hinting. Also, I'm not really up for blowing the cash on a new doll at the moment since #66 and I are still hanging out and May is basically a never ending parade of gifts for other people. Which sounds like I'm grumbling about that but I assure you, I am not. My money is just not set aside for me this month. :p

Z's Accessories // $32
Item#FFD96

Z expresses herself with creative accessories that show her style—and get her set for filmmaking fun! Includes:
A white twill jacket with silver buttons and front pocket flaps
A space-dyed knit hat with a patch, star charm, and bead accent
Transparent peach glasses
A striped jersey-knit scarf
Soooo... Z's got glasses. But they're accessories. I am conflicted. I am less conflicted about the dreamcicle inspired scarf (meh) and the jacket (eee!) but the hat swings us back to conflicted. I like it on it's own. I think. But I remember the last pink/orange thing I got from AG and it's pretty frickin' ugly in person so... I also don't really love how these look with her Meet Outfit. All that aside? It's on my to buy at some point list.

Z's Sightseeing Outfit // $32
Item#FFD94

Z will be ready to take interesting videos all over town in this outfit. It features:
A drop-waist dress with a knit bodice and a two-tiered skirt
A gray screen-printed tank top
A jersey scarf
Two-tone canvas sneakers with elastic laces
If you were a plain black skirt, outfit, I would buy you so fast my head would spin. But you are a print dress with a shirt that is kinda meh and shoes that match the accessories but not so much this outfit and this is a theme for Z, isn't it? Scarves and all the outfit pieces match other outfits, not the ones they're packaged with. This is one where I look at it and sometimes think "yes!" and sometimes think "meh" so we'll see, we'll see.

Z's Filming Accessories // $28
Item#FFD98
Z’s tripod helps her steady every shot—and her backpack helps her carry everything to the next cool location! This set of pretend filmmaking accessories includes:
A 35mm camera with a colorful carrying strap
A camcorder
A smartphone with five interchangeable screens
A tripod to be used with all three devices
A backpack
If I had to hazard a guess, I'd say this is the piece that will be the most popular in Z's collection. It doesn't hurt that for all the bits you get, it's priced really well, too. I fully intend on picking this up just because it's nifty, dammit.

Z's Scooter // $50
Item#FFF00

Z keeps her camera rolling as she zips around the neighborhood on her scooter. This on-the-go set includes:
A sturdy scooter with easy-rolling wheels
A safety helmet featuring stars and a big Z
A pretend action cam that mounts to the helmet or the handlebars
Knee and elbow pads
Stickers for extra fun
Despite having one of my favorite shots from her lookbook, I have no interest in the scooter. It's nice that it's available if that's your thing.

Z's Dog, Popcorn // $28
Item#FFD97
Even Z’s puppy, Popcorn, loves movies! Popcorn is a Dalmatian with soft spotted fur and posable limbs—and he holds a magnetic movie-clapper toy in his mouth.
If there's a sale, mebbe. But $28 is a bit much, AG. Since this is pretty short, story time! When I was younger, there was a family who lived around the corner who had two dogs. My brother and I became friends with the grandson of the couple who lived there and spent a lot of time over there for awhile. One of the dogs, Duchess, was a dalmatian. Despite the fact that I had my back shredded by a dog when I was even younger, and that was the dog across the street, btw, I wasn't afraid of dogs. Anyway, the only time I was afraid was when I had to ring the doorbell at Duchess's house. She would run to the front door and it had those little windows on the side and all you'd see were her fangs as she barked her damn head off. Terrifying, honestly. Other dogs would do the same thing (this was in the days of going door to door to sell school wrapping paper or girl scout cookies, ok?) but only Duchess scared me every freakin' time. Randomly ran into another Dalmatian at a later date and it startled me just the same.

Z's Desk Set // $125
Item#FFD99

Z’s desk set is fully stocked with more than 30 video-making supplies! The sturdy wooden armoire opens to reveal a cool foldout desk and a magnetic note board. This imaginative set also includes:
A desk chair
A pretend doll-sized laptop with two different screens
A pretend video monitor with two different screens
A calendar
A clapboard-style desk organizer with a secret compartment
A video tips and tricks booklet
A flip book featuring Z’s puppy, Popcorn
Two photo booth strips
A file box
Storyboard papers
Postcards
Notepads and mechanical pencils
Magnetic icons
A desk lamp that looks like a stage light and really works!
My favorite thing about this piece is that when it first appeared/leaked, the reactions came down in exactly two groups:
HOLY HAMSTERS, I NEED NOW!
and
PLASTIC CRAP, EW NO, PC WOULD NEVER.
Yes, both camps leaned heavy on the capslock. Anyway, this thing would weigh a ton which a lot of people have used as reasons for why they didn't like previous similar sets in the past. Also, it would cost way more (those sets did) so... I'm somewhere in between. I want a lot of the things, I don't mind the look, but I haven't the space so I admire from afar.

Z's Easy Breezy Outfit // $28
Item#FFD95

Directing, shooting, editing—Z can handle it all in this easygoing outfit. It features:
A cozy plaid shirt with a button front
Printed twill pants with a bit of stretch
A star-print elastic headband
High-top sneakers with a contrast-color design
*grabby hands* I NEED. NOW. GIMME.
Sorry this took so long to appear. Despite last week's visit from Comcast, the internet has been um, special. Sigh. I thought it had cleared up today but naturally things went sideways when I tried to do this so if things are more disjointed than usual, just assume I was doing battle with my connection and kept getting distracted and never finished a thought properly.
