this week shoulda been cancelled

Work sucked this week. Like hardcore. Did I mention before that they denied everyone time in May off because of the store moving? If not, they did. Yeah, I dunno if the universe just lined things up in the right way or if people decided eff it, I'm doing what I want, but apparently everyone and their hamster has been calling out. Which means that everyone who hasn't called out is either super pissed because they're doing extra work OR they're getting the run off attitude from the pissed off folks... I, kiddos, am in the latter camp. I walked into work Tuesday and apparently the insanity had already begun and it just kept going and going all week long.


Usually there's at least one day that brightens my week. Um, no. Each day was like returning to the same weird atmosphere of "this suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks!" Never did work out whether I'd ticked someone off personally or if I was just the collateral damage, but it sucked either way.


Gonna nap a bit until Mums is up and around.

You mean they're actually for reals going to move your store this time?

Either way, that sucks. I am taking Memorial Day week off because of the crazy at my jobs, so I feel your pain. If I'd been denied I would've rioted - this year has been crazy and I'm not going to make it to September without a break o.O

The new store is built and every time I work the later shift, the store manager and others who have been visiting have been heading over there to do something. I'm not sure what the hold up is, though possibly permits. Especially if the island is having issues over whether it's part of the city again. Paperwork!

Anyway, it kills me every time someone asks what the new building is because it looks just like our current one, only cleaner. Of course, these are the same people who see the area where the road is being widened (they took out half our parking already) and the spots where there used to be parking spots but now there's like... a fourth of the space and think "totally can fit this big ol' pickup here. Nailed it." It's not a parking spot anymore! That's what the giant mound of dirt and debris is telling you, fools!

I cannot imagine the insanity of two jobs if they've both gone nuts. Yay for vacation!
