Storm's a-brewin' so this is gonna be quick, but I finally got around to watching Descendants 2. Um, that Mal/Evie song. Am I not supposed to take that as a total 'ship thing? Because uh...

Also, the Mal/Jay little friendship moments thrown in here and there were fantastic and made me happy. I should really get off my ass and read the other books, huh?

The Malvie song was so shippy. I love Ben and Mal, but I'd be okay with some poly going on so she can be with both.

I enjoyed the movie a lot, except I'm also in the middle of reading the prequel book and there are a lot of different things. Uma is much nastier in the book, while she was played sympathetic in the movie. She's flat out abusive to Harry and they give a more platonic feel in the book, but people are shipping them like crazy from the movie and I'm just dry-heaving over here. Harry's horribly one-dimensional (and that dimension is "sadistic crazy train") in the movie, but he's much better characterized in the book, which is why he's my 2nd fave after Carlos. Sweet little Carlos, my smart baby. He was so good in the movie. I want him to be my little brother. Heh.

I just pre-ordered 2 Mals, 2 Umas and the Carlos/Jane 2-pack from Amazon and there goes most of my pay for next week. Sigh!

Hey, I can get behind Evie/Mal/Ben. Why choose when you can have it all!

Well, if you're only going to get one dimension and no one else is using it, sadistic crazy train is at least a fun one to play. Noted about the book differences, which makes sense since the original book is also a fair bit darker than the movie. Uma/Harry would not have been my choice of 'ships to ship since she didn't really seem to have any interest in anything beyond Mal. Even the Ben thing was just to fuck with Mal but hey.

Oooh! New dolls! I was trying to look around to see what was coming and of course the storm made that impossible so I'm off in search once more.
