Eee, mail love!

I believe I promised pictures, no? Yes. Thursday, in addition to being Lease Day and the birthday of he I would like to kick in the kneecaps even all these years later, was also a good mail day. :D I found a package outside my door and for a moment I was really confused. I knew Lori was sending me books (Mmm. Christopher Pike) but this didn't feel like books.
I opened it and yup, not books. So I worried that maybe there'd been a mix-up and asked her and nope, these were for me after all. :D *happy dance*
Here they are without flash. The lighting in the LR is a little wonky but I didn't want to try this in my room because the cat would most likely wish to be helpful and by helpful I mean hunt anything that fell. :p Ghoulia! So tall! Frankie! So Halloween! Space Pop Hera! So pretty!
Also, you can see my book choices. Scavenger Hunt is the one that kickstarted all this. One day I'll get over Penny stealing almost all my Pike books (and also owing me $300) but today is not that day. However, now I have a copy of SH again so I am happy. I don't really remember much about The Wicked Heart at all, so re-reading that will be interesting. Sati is one I have to keep snatching back from Cass because she keeps stealing it, my copy of Chain Letter was always falling apart (as in I think I picked it out of the 25 cent bin at the Book Exchange), Remember Me 3 I think was one of the ones I loaned out in middle school and it died, and Gimme A Kiss was another Penny victim.
Oh, and for those who wondered, this is the bar area in the LR. I'd say it's Halloween-ified but no, this is basically the year round look. Kittens and Zero and Ginger say hey.
Flash brings all the holo to the yard or something. I like that between the three of them, they've got most of the bases covered. Frankie looks dead ahead, Ghoulia's off to the right, and Hera's to the left.

And now I wonder where Ghoulia came from. To Google I will go! Later. After dinner, probably.

Hera. I'm such a sucker for dark hair and green eyes. Such. A. Sucker. And now I'm reminded that I should get around to ordering the larger version of Hera so Luna has a friend.
Pumpkin Frankie! Can we take a moment to admire the cuteness? And wonder why, oh why, did they make these damn things so impossible to buy? My stores NEVER got them (or if they did, someone scooped them up ASAP) and guys, I have a fair number of Walmarts near me and I had Cass looking and she's got even more. So really, these things missed entire chunks of the country.
But she's so cute!
Thank you so much, Lori!

Date: 2017-08-21 12:29 am (UTC)My stores never got the Halloween ones either. And now it seems we're not getting Series 2, Wave 2, which has Avea and I'm FURIOUS because I do not want to pay Toots $95 for a set just to get her, but it's AVEA with her little horsey body. Wah.
Oh, let me know what you think of Wicked Heart. It almost made it onto my saved pile but then I despised the ending.

Date: 2017-08-21 12:38 am (UTC)Why, oh why, can't Mattel figure out a way to sell the minis properly? I wouldn't mind buying a full box/case/whatever if I was either guaranteed a full set or, and this is desperation talking, I knew which damn wave I was ordering. (AHEM, Amazon.) Avea! My love!
When I read it, I shall let you know.
