impyOkay, work is going to have to freakin' hire someone else for third shift. I can't do Fridays and Saturdays alone anymore. It's too freakin' busy, especially if day shift isn't gonna do their job (or can't because apparently everyone's kids had issues and they all left or called out) and I'm expected to do the stuff they couldn't/wouldn't do on top of trying to ring up every idiot in town. By 1, I was about ready to punch someone every time I heard the doors open. The freakin' huge parking lot encourages people to stop by, which is probably great for the bottom line but is going to break me.
SIGH.
Moving along to happier things, today is the day Yankee Candle does their Halloween debut. I'm still not sure how I went from "BUY ALL THE THINGS!" to "Buy like two of the things?" back to "BUY ALL THE THINGS!" but I did. It's a shame you can't use a gift card and paypal at the same time (rude) because apparently I had $15 in cards. And whatever free shipping code they allegedly launched didn't work for my second order. Boo. Bullfrogs. On the plus side, I didn't have to wait til 10am to order my stuff and it hadn't sold out by the time I got off work either. Huzzah!
I'm not really sure how I feel about my order, however. Last year I was super psyched about my little ghosts (they're available again this year and I was thisclose to buying another pair, so if you're into that sort of thing, I highly recommend them) and my Sophias. There were no figural Sophias this year. Well, there's one leftover (brought back?) from last year, but nothing new. :(
These are the ghosties and Sophias from last year:
This year there was really only one piece that I will cry if it gets kicked out of my order for some reason:
Partly because it's going to go really well with two pieces I bought last year:
I... might've left both of those out til Christmas and then swapped them back in after Christmas because uh, yeah. They're awesome.
After that, I got a little indecisive. It didn't help that the site was basically only working half the time and I had to be a little sneaky in finding things. (Naturally I found the thing I kept searching for hours later when I've run out of funds.)
Eventually I wound up with a few little votive candles, a melt cup of a scent not available in smaller/cheaper forms and the following shiny things:
This tickles me. I couldn't even tell you why, it just does.
Sometimes a thing just gets stuck in your head, I suppose.
I've got a theme developing, it seems. I waffled on this the longest, btw.
Because I wanted a Sophia thing, though I'm wishing I hadn't put the Illumalid back now. Sigh.
I kept looking for the black version of this but I'd forgotten that it's in a gift set along with Witches Brew which is pretty much patchouli and dirt.
Annnnnnnd this cutie has been sitting in my bag for eons and I'm glad he was because he's for Mums to go with the white one I bought her earlier in the year. :D
Eta: Nanea is here but it's naptime. Tomorrow we open the box!
