impyBehold, one of those endless lists of questions but for Halloween.
When you die, what do you want done with your remains?
Well, we ain't rich so I'm thinking I'm going to wind up cremated. Which kind of freaks me out because FIRE but I'll be dead so...
What is the weirdest thing you own?
Weirdness is in the eye of the beholder and I do not consider my things to be weird so I cannot answer this.
Have you ever played with a Ouija Board?
Not a Ouija board proper but a spirit board, yes. We got it at Green Dragon (comic store) and my friends and I played with it and there were two versions. I think Nelle took one home and she had the 'nicer' one and I kept the one that kept saying we were all gonna die at various points. Seriously, it was just the worst. BUT if just Ari and I were at the wheel, things would be a little less doom and gloom and a little more ~interesting~. I eventually gave it to Cass when we moved because I no longer wanted it around.
Do you believe in ghosts?
Yes.
Have you ever had an encounter with things that go ‘bump in the night’?
The ghost deer of Ravenel? Nah, they don't count. Ummm... the blood behind our garage that my brother and I both saw but disappeared when we ran in to show our parents? The ghost by the garage? Otherwise, not so much.
Do you have a Deja Vu story?
Doesn't everyone? I actually got Deja Vu so often one summer that I think I burned that particular feeling out. Seriously, it would go off pretty much every day and at the strangest times.
Do you still trick-or-treat?
No. But I did take Widget out until a couple of years ago.
Have you ever had a black cat cross you, and have a streak of bad luck afterwards?
I lived with black cats but my luck didn't seem to be worse than usual so no.
Least favorite thing about Halloween?
Fucking Christmas encroaching on it. Or the fact that it's over so very, very quickly. ;_;

Uh... none.
Favorite thing to do in a Graveyard?
Walk around and look at the various tombstones.
Favorite Halloween Movie?
The Worst Witch or Rose Red, which isn't exactly a Halloween movie but I watch it then so it counts, right?

The Green Ribbon but is it a ghost story? Probably not.
Have you ever contacted a loved one from beyond the grave?
The way this is worded it sounds like I'm the dead one, so no. Also, no.
Your biggest fear?
Look, I like you all and you might've been able to figure out said fear, but I'm not exactly sharing it because you don't tempt the universe that way.
Favorite Pumpkin flavored food?
Pumpkin Chiffon Pie. So boozy.
Candy corn or Popcorn Balls?
Candy. Corn. Duh.
Trick, or Treat?
Treat with a little non-mean trick on the side.
Best halloween you ever had?
Huh. I'm not 100% sure, honestly. I remember what is probably a mashup of Halloween decorating that I took very seriously (I would very carefully put the McBoo type pails in all the windows and carefully put up the paper skeleton and cobwebs and the other pails and fake pumpkins on the steps and those ghosts that made That Sound (you know it) on the lights and then ride my bike around the neighborhood to see what other people had done. It was windy and spooky and kinda awesome. But that wasn't Halloween itself.
Maybe the Halloween in New York with my aunt and uncle and Ari? We saw Practical Magic and had the best lasagna and even though my klutzy ass fell out of the van when we went to the store (and thus borked my knee), we still went around the neighborhood and trick or treated and enjoyed the leaves that changed colors.
Or maybe the year Kate and I went by ourselves and then I lost my princess wand and Mom drove back out to find it? Or the year my brother and I had friends come over to trick or treat with us from another neighborhood?
Seriously, Halloween is one of those holidays I have more good than bad memories of.
Do you go to Corn Mazes ?
...no, but only because they tend to be the haunted type that have idiots who touch you and Nuh Uh, no.

I haven't been to one in so looooooooooong.
Do you own any human remains that arent your own?
...seriously, the wording on this is so strange. Like not family members or you honestly think I'm a ghost or zombie or something? (Dad, say hey.)
Have you ever smashed a pumpkin?
Sorta? I chucked some of ours after the mold set in, but really, we live in humid hell so you've got like 12 hours after carving it before it's all moldy and dead anyway.
Do you like Apple Cider?
I like the smell but I do not, it appears, like the actual taste. WOE.
Do you live near any ‘spooky’ places?
I live down the road from a cemetary. I live in a fairly haunted city. *shrug*
Do you ever get goosebumps?
As in do things creep me out or do I just get the physical reaction? Because I've got goosebumps right now, but it's because I'm cold so... But yes, things creep me out and I get goosebumps.
Have you ever seen a dead body apart from a funeral?
You mean like seeing my dad die in the hospital? Or just stumbling across one by accident? Because no to that one.
Have you ever broken into an abandoned house or building?
Nope.
Do you believe in Vampires? (not sparkly ones, kids)
What about those ~psychic~ ones people are always talking about? Also, no.
Your scariest memory?
Uncle suffering drug related flashbacks and being ticked at his wife for leaving came to the house when I was a kid and threatened to kill anyone standing between him and his kid. This is the monotone, boring version of this because I've told it before. Spoiler: of the three kids there, only I did not develop a raging drug problem.

If by played you mean encouraged little kids at an elementary school PTA meeting to do so, then yes. Yes I have. Also my class got the showers in the middle school locked the following year because we played a round of it in the showers and had people hold the door closed. (It was to keep the light out, not to keep people from getting out.)
