impy*siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh* The weather the past couple of days has been absolutely my kind of weather. Dreary and cold and wonderful. Alas, I've been working so I can't really appreciate it fully. WOE.
Also, at work it means I want to do horrible things to people. Our new store has plenty of room and space for people to wipe their feet when it's gross outside and NO ONE DOES. Wipe yer damn feet because otherwise I spend an hour every friggin' night trying to clean that mess up. Do you know how much of a pain in the ass it is trying to keep those floors clean? No. No you don't because you don't care. I swear, I nearly cried four times this morning as I was sweeping because people kept coming in. Which meant I had to alter my route or just stop entirely while their muddy foot prints dried because damned if I'm a) ruining the mop head early by getting it wet and b) turning a temporary foot print into one that will definitely need to be mopped up.
I finally got around to calling and setting up an eye appointment next week. Here's hoping all goes well. I'd say they can't fuss at me for not going last year (I wanted to but the year ran away from me and they were closed for forever after the hurricane damaged their store apparently?) but they might. I looked online to see if any of the frames were calling my name and I found a few possibilities.
To reward myself for being an adult, I then stayed up too late and watched Psych: The Movie. It was set up differently from the episodes (well, maybe not most of the last season which I never watched because Netflix booted it before I finished) and the pacing felt... strange. I'm not sure if that was something the Xfinity app was doing (it likes to time jump for commercials for some odd ass reason) or if the movie honestly kept running as fast as it could and we were just expected to keep up no matter what.
That said, I enjoyed the hell out of it and I miss Psych so, so much. It wasn't perfect and part of that is because it suffered from a severe lack of Lassie... which is to be expected since right before filming, Timothy Omundson suffered a stroke and... yeah. So Lassie's very short scene is hard to watch and yet perfect.
Alas, it also led to me looking up a billion things about whether he was recovering well and whether we'd get another movie and what do you know, suddenly it's waaaaaaaay past my bedtime and I'm not even tired.
I believe my black sparkle dress arrived and I'm going to head upstairs in a minute to look it over and then try to figure out who gets to try it on first. Any requests? Oh, and today's AG deal is the buy 2, get 1 free outfit deal. Spend $50 or more and get the free shipping. I am ticked (at AG and myself) because Logan's extra outfit is now $10 (like it was in stores for Black Friday) and not the $17 I paid on CM. Z's Easy Breezy outfit (the black and white top and jeggings?) is also $10 but there's not a third $10 option. Of course. So I just bought Z's and wished that I'd not used my rewards yesterday as then it would have been completely free. Woe. Lesson learned, I guess.
