Full disclosure: My track-record with AG's Purchase With Purchase outfits is pretty spotty. I don't particularly enjoy the "spend $50 and then get the joy of spending another $14 to get this!" especially when some people get to skip the spend that amount and buy it for the cheaper price and other people have to pay the marked up price if they choose not to spend the $50. Plus half of them are in store only items and never make it online. I tend to ignore them because the ones I love never show up online, or if they do, it's always when I have no money or they blip out of existence before I can order.

That said, I thought this one was adorable when I first saw pictures of it pop up from people's store visits. I thought other people agreed but considering it showed up and lingered online, I suppose I was mistaken. Since Cass never made it to the AG store that year year, I never wound up with it so yes, I jumped on the chance when it appeared during the CM sale.

You get the headband, shirt, and jumper and that's it. Nanea is wearing her own shoes because I am far too lazy to go looking for matching shoes and also I don't know if I have any that would work. So Nanea and I decided she and I would both totally wear her shoes with this outfit anyway.

I think the Purple Sparkle Outfit was the outfit I was most excited about getting once it was clear I'd have to wait for the black sparkle outfit to even appear. I was not disappointed either. The jumper is made of a stretchy material so there's plenty of give but it holds its shape well. There are metallic threads throughout the material so there's enough shine to make it sparkle and so I didn't feel like Nanea was terribly under-dressed while everyone else was prancing around in holiday outfits. The zipper you see is functional and I'm grateful since I'm pretty sure velcro would try to eat this material or the shirt's material.

This outfit also reminds me a lot of the School Jumper from the 90's which might explain a lot of my love for this outfit. The shirt is a simple purple shirt and it does what it needs to do without stealing attention from the other two pieces. It's nice and soft and easily used with other pieces to create new outfits. It's not one of those things that can only be used with this jumper and I appreciate that. *looks down* And apparently I am wearing a similar shirt today but in black.

Here's the back, which I suppose you could also use as the front if that's your thing. I've seen it both ways and I think the zipper in front looks better but you do you.

Unexpected favorite thing of the bunch? This chrome headband. I usually complain bitterly about the headbands but this one fits pretty well (it's a little snug) and has no stupid tag, but most of all it's purple chrome magic. It reminds me of nail polish I had... probably in the 90's or early 00's and it's just so shiny. SO. SHINY. It's such a little thing but it somehow finishes the set and I wish they'd use similar headbands in the future because I love this stupid headband so, so much.

Overall, I'd give this a solid A+. I was going to dock the + because there aren't any shoes, but it was always meant to be a PWP and that means shoes are optional and every other piece is perfect. It gives me happy 90's nostalgia vibes and I'd recommend it if you find it for sale at a decent price.

I didn't even notice the headband until you pointed it out. I agree - A++ would buy again (hell, I'd wear it myself if they made one in adult size!). I am thus far also 100% a fan of metallic threading. It adds some interest and texture to the piece. And yay for zippers!
