I think, for the first time in two weeks or so, I feel mostly human again. My leg is still weird and I cough too much for my liking, but I actually enjoyed my tortellini this morning and got off my ass and painted my nails. Pretty as Finley was (and she was so, so pretty) she'd chipped into oblivion and I was sick and tired of looking at that mess. It was making me feel worse so I broke out the polish remover (I think I prefer peeling my polish off) and went to work. Remy is prettier than I imagined. ♥ Oh, that reminds me. I had a code for a 'free' polish (is it really free if you have to pay shipping? I think not) and I snagged two other shades because I had the money and didn't want to pay the shipping. It's apparently shipped but will be taking the scenic route. Which is vexing since I ordered a green for St. Patrick's Day, dammit.

Oh, and my new shoes I think are duds. :/ It's been awhile since I tried on a pair of shoes and immediately thought, "Oh, no, this has to be the wrong size..." only to find out that no, it really is the size it says. Or the box did, anyway. I haven't felt up to trying again til possibly today and I'm not quite motivated enough right now.

I did pre-order the AG mysteries and they showed up in the midst of my ick. I read Kit's first and it wasn't what I expected? For starters, it's one of AG books that doesn't manage to sugarcoat things or at least gloss over the harder stuff by the end. Charlie's still helping rip people's homes apart to build a national park, one of Kit's new friends has their future left very much up in the air, and oh yeah, Kit's there when a character dies. Kit's alone with them when this person dies, even.

It's impossible to solve the first mystery and far too easy to solve the secondary mystery, but I'm not sure how much of my disgruntledness towards the book is because of the book itself and how much is because I was still pretty damn sick when I read it.

Read Nanea's next and other than it being a never ending parade of Nanea accusing people, though usually just in her head, I enjoyed it more than Kit's. I will say Kit's newest is still miles ahead of her trumpet mystery which was just bad.

Working on Rebecca's now. Not sure why I saved it for last since I'm not really a fan of her mysteries, but so far I want to cheer Ana on every time she opens her mouth so that's fun.

AG taunts me with free shipping (I think it's MAR18) but sends codes for 20% off to others, or $10 off $50. Hit me up, AG, otherwise I'm going to sit here and not give you my money. Which, considering they took a massive hit last year (losing 73 million) is probably not really the look they're going for. Entice me, company.

I never get AG coupon codes. That's probably all it would take to crack me on Luciana, but they ignore me.

I've had the mysteries sitting here, determined to finish rereading the history mysteries first. Theeeeeeen I got distracted. It might be awhile before I go historical again. Oh, well!
