LT is still down. I'm going to guess that I was not the only one who thought, "AHA, unlimited books! Time to catalog ALL THE BOOKS!" or something. Or maybe it was their thing with whatever app thing they bought. Dunno. Point is, my weekend plans have been dashed. And the internet is being slow as hell.

Grr.

I slept a little too long for my backup plans to kick in (picture comparisons between Cecile, Gabby, and Sonali) so what to do, what to do.


6.) Least favorite mystery:
Uh, the Mysteries were my thing as a kid so this question makes no sense. :P Which is to say I'm gonna go with the super mystery Christmas Chiller because I don't remember anything about it other than a vague feeling of "that's it?"

Ugh, sorry to hear LibraryThing is still down! :(

I'm working on my answers for the meme, and this one is a stumper. I just don't have many memories of the mysteries, save the first few. Reading the summaries gives me an idea of which ones I'll probably hate (big surprise: the later ones), but I also feel like I need to re-read them all to really be fair :P

Yeah, I looked down the list of the mysteries (and the covers) and that's how I wound up basically cheating. I know there are some mysteries I wasn't all that fond of but there are things I also kind of like. Like the weird one with the mental patient (Stacey and some Halloween thing) is insane and definitely out there for the BSC but it was just so insane and OTT that my SV loving self kinda had to love it for that. Should I re-read them anytime soon, my answer will likely change but I have a stack of books from the library so that might take a bit.

Ha, yeah, I've pretty much given up any pretense of reading "real" books right now. I've returned my stack unread to the library (except the skating books, which aren't from my library but are interlibrary loans) and am totally indulging in BSC right now.

After being so impressed with Super Mystery #1, I read Super Mystery #3 (Baby-sitters' Fright Night) yesterday...and meh, it wasn't that great. No explanation for the why of the crime. I remember reading #4 Baby-sitters Christmas Chiller and finding it really creepy (especially Stacey's NY stalker storyline). So SM #1 is my favorite of that quarter, by default. SM #2 has winter Shadow Lake canon, but it also had a weird stalker storyline that I could've done without.

Hrmm, maybe Fright Night was the one I was underwhelmed by? It's also possible that I simply had really high hopes for the Super Mysteries because I lived for both the Supers and the Mysteries and their baby should have been the things dreams were made of and yet I think they fell flat just as often as they worked. But that's simply going off memory because I haven't read any of them in ages.

Woo for the BSC re-read and the possibilities it could unlock in your mind, be it fic or discussions. Muhahaa... ahem.
