New BSC TV show in the works?
And because I am just that petty, my hackles went up a bit at this:
In a bid to keep the TV version as timely as possible, episodes will broach topics including divorce, racism and belonging.
Diiiiiiiiiiiid you read the books? Because those are already included in the series.

Nah, no one in those books was divorced. *eye roll* It wasn't mentioned in like every book.

You know what the world never asked for? Dark BSC!verse. There's no need to update it for 2018 with all of the horror that is present day. If anything, it should stay as an 80s classic as a route of escapism!

I'm hopeful that since they kept stressing the family friendly angle that it won't be all doom and gloom. The original series managed to tackle a fair amount of material without going (or staying) dark. I'd hoped for a moment that they'd ride the 80's nostalgia train all the way but alas, modernized. Which I'm not really sure I can fully wrap my head around but it could be good. Just... don't go all Freeform/ABC Family on me, show.
