10. Favorite friendship:

   Instant answer: Enid and Elizabeth. I love their cookie dough making, I've got your back, we're nerds together forever friendship and it absolutely killed me when SVU happened and Enid dumped Liz and became Alex... and then SVH brought in Maria and basically shoved Enid aside anytime they could. And when they couldn't, they made her an absolute idiot, even if Elizabeth would later do the exact same thing and it would be fine somehow. Just remember that Enid was one of the only people who could pretty much immediately tell the difference between Margo and Elizabeth and she didn't need hugs or smooches to do so.

  Long term best friendship would have to be Lila and Jessica because it's easier to list the series where they aren't best friends. Sure, they fight and compete and would shove each other off a runway without a second thought if it meant they'd come out ahead, but their friendship endures for a reason. Maybe not always a healthy reason, but a reason all the same.


It is now a month til my birthday. You have been warned.

Aww, Enid was pretty fabulous. She had an interesting past that I wish had been used more than it was. She also had interesting boyfriends who weren't in Liz's orbit, always a plus in SV canon.

It was sad when they brought back Maria Slater for later SVH. I thought they did a fab job melding SVT and SVH canon with #29 Bitter Rivals; no need to rehash it with a different outcome later in life.

Sometimes, when I'm extremely bored or tired (or both), I think about how we could have had Liz with her own little nerdy but nifty clique: Enid, Maria, and Olivia. And I think it would've worked considering they were all different enough but interesting and yet somehow it just never seemed to take. Siiiiiiiiiiigh. Jessica could have multiple friends, sometimes multiple best friends if we're early enough in the series, but Liz is limited to a fight to the death over her non-Jessica or Todd best friend? Rude.

And they all could have bonded over dating Ken when they were older. Well, not Enid which is why she'd still get to be BFF #1. :P

I always figured Maria came back because a) SVH was spectacularly white even when compared with the other offshoots and b) Jessica got her wish and bumped Enid down the line of Lizbeth's friendship. What Jessica wants, Jessica gets... unless it's to not share a boyfriend at some point with Liz.
