Do not send an emergency text to the state telling everyone to evacuate NOW and then leave it at that. Because it's important to explain why the urgency was dialed way up... and also getting that text just after finding a hurricane model that showed Florence crawling down our coast was fucking terrifying.
Not a single mention by any news or social media thing about that alert, btw. Cass and I had to spend an hour calming each other down. The current model isn't as scary, thankfully.
