impyDammit, I hate it when the universe gives and then immediately takes back. I don't remember whether I mentioned that I hoped for an AG sale because there are some things I want that I'm worried will sell out, but if not, tada. I also want to buy Blaire. So I was thrilled when someone pointed out that AG has a sale going starting today. I thought to myself, Score! I'll buy the random historical stuff now and Blaire on the last day of the sale to give her time to potentially hit backorder. And then I read the fine print and it says its a one time use. The. Fuck. AG, I want to give you my money and you are making it very, very difficult to do so. I don't mind making two orders but will mind very much if the second order didn't get the sale to work, y'know? I suppose if it's really a one time use, I'll go with the stuff I'm worried about selling out, thus ensuring that none of it will ever sell out.
Went ahead with my "ohnoes, what if it sells out" order. We'll wait a bit and see if it's worth ordering Blaire now or continuing to wait. In case you pondered as to what made the cut:
Nanea's tropical birthday outfit is showing "low quantities" and since I absolutely must turn Nanea into Sailor Pineapple, it had to come home.
Nanea's Dog, Mele has been showing LQ for awhile. I really hope they wouldn't let Mele be retired and are either just having stock issues or they're retooling the design or something because Mele is probably the single most important thing in Nanea's collection.
Julie's Basketball Uniform is also showing LQ and I really like it so um, yes. Mine.
Josefina's Navidad Outfit has been on my to-buy list since it came out. Considering Josefina (and Kit) shows little sign of actually being updated along with the rest of the historicals, so far, I thought I would hedge my bets and get the pretty now.
Maryellen's Strawberry Outfit is on sale and between that and the bigger sale, it's pretty much free. And for free, I would like to give it a try.
Completely unrelated to AG at all, but I am beyond tired of people posting on FB about culling their 'friends'. Maybe it's because I think I have maybe 50 people and a lot of that is family (and a good chunk of them are on mute) and thus I can't relate to having some unwieldy number of people, or maybe it's because I just don't give a flying shit if you're essentially cutting your friends list. I'm not going to beg someone to keep me or kiss someone's ass if they do. I don't care that you just got rid of however many people and suddenly feel so free. Do you want a cookie? Because I'm not giving you a cookie for that. Hell, the people who repeatedly do this make me want to hit them with hot cookie sheets until they shut up or require medical attention. Widget's other aunt keeps doing this and the first couple of times I didn't pay too much attention but she's done it a lot recently and I'm thisclose to being that person who posts one of those "for someone who says she doesn't like drama, you sure do a lot of drama queening" kinds of things without directly calling her out. But that involves a level of caring I can't work myself up to just yet. So instead I am annoyed.
All that aside, Happy Valentine's Day! May it not suck.
