Weep. Weep!



Well, holy mother of god. [Stupid years of comic reading. I think madre de dios before anything else.] Gunn made it to the fade out. I was sure he was extra toasty. Sure, the likeyhood of him lasting after that are you know, about as good as Fox saying that they made a mistake with Wonderfalls and giving it back in time for my birthday. Still...

I sniffled when Wes croaked, but I should have seen it coming. I should have known not even the rabid fangirls could save him. Not with Cordy, Doyle, and Fred all dead. Saw my cowboy love dying though. Even saw Lorne being the killer. Sigh.

I think I liked the episode. In fact, I know I did. I don't know if it makes it to love status, although the "I want you" bit was quotable as was Angel offering to kill Spike yet again. Some things I heard before they were said, which is sometimes good, but in a finale you don't always want to see something coming. Woe.

And I'm sure the WB "We love you Angel" thing was supposed to be a good thing, but it just made me want to flick the TV [WB, same diff] off. "We cancelled you, but we'll act like you wanted to go!" Grrr. Argh.

*sniffles*

Bottom line: I liked the episode. I'm glad I taped it [and not just because I was on the phone at the time] and I'm pissed that I won't get to watch more Angel next year. I liked the ending, btw, and I thought it was pretty much the only way to end it if they seriously want to have some sort of mini movie or real movie at a later date. It sucks if this is the last we see of that section of the Buffyverse, but it's perfect if they ever go back to it, even briefly.

This ad? Annoying. It's this teeny bopper girl yammering on about how cool Smallville is. Then there's this crack about how even her boyfriend likes it [this is after she drools over how hot the cast is and how the storylines are like, omg! and the cast is soooooo dreamy] and he only likes stuff with, like, Frodo in it. Ignoring, I suppose, the fact that chances are good that most guys who are truly Frodo-liscious are geeks and that there are some geeks who watch Smallville cuz of the basic premise alone. :p
