Vacay, day 1

impyIn news that will absolutely NOT surprise you, the SVH graphic novel has had its release date moved back yet a-fucking-gain. The Kindle version, which last we checked in, was supposed to have been released last week, now has a release date of July 24th. Great goddamn, what the fuck. I know I'm crankier than normal because my period decided that hello, tiny break from work, let's set up shop here and now but in the time I've been keeping any kind of eye on this stupid thing, it's gone from October to February to June to multiple times in July. Wtf. It's times like this I am almost bothered enough to log in to twitter and ask the author what the blue hell is going on. But then I remember I don't do that.
And also at this point I think I'm just going to take bets on what the next "release date" will be. I ordered the Kindle version (I kept meaning to and then I'd forget which card is set-up for the one click nonsense.) so that means it's never, ever coming out.
What else. I was all set to make my Vacation To Do List, as I kept thinking there was a shit-ton of stuff to do and um, it's like one day of stuff. Well, two, as watching the new season of Stranger Things so I can scroll through Tumblr without having to avert my eyes every two seconds is also on the list. But otherwise, if it's not a recurring thing like swimming, I could, in theory, get the rest of this crossed off tomorrow. But probably not because it's the boy's birthday.
I do need to finish my laundry though, since it's bedding. Blergh. I'm so tired already and I slept this morning instead of hitting the pool. Which, given the period's arrival and my headache, was probably a better idea than I realized, but still. I slept. Maybe not a full 8 hours but ... oh. Four hours. That explains it.
We've officially shifted to old, btw. Before heading upstairs to debate swimming or sleep, I read that Cameron Boyce (Carlos from the Descendants movies) died overnight. I'd hoped that it was one of those things where it's a joke I just don't get but no. My heart, she shattered because 20 is just so very, very young. And seeing his birth year being not all that far away from Widget's made it hit even harder.
And since I don't want to end on a downer, Holo Taco launched yesterday. And sold out in about an hour. HT is the new nail polish line from Simply Nailogical/Cristine on YT and while the initial launch isn't really all that surprising, I do think that there's the possibility that in the future she's going to do some really fun stuff. Alas, the pricing is definitely higher than what I normally pay (see any post where I mention my nail polishes, really) but it's also lower than her previous collabs, I believe. If not, it's in keeping with the same price point. But if the black is an actual one-coater... ♥ The blue is also really pretty. I'm not as in love with the holo topcoats... or I wasn't until she showed the linear one over a red or berry polish and then I might've ooohed and ahhhed audibly. Anyway, I shall be keeping an eye on the line to see what else she's cooking up in the future.
