Target has definitely taken to the whole "self-checkout" biz pretty heavily. I use it all the time because I like to bag my own groceries, but it can be a pain when the only lines that are open are the self-checkout ones. I had 3 years on a till in retail hell, so I am pretty efficient, but most people either aren't, or let their kids do everything so it takes 100x as long to complete their transaction.
