AG May release proper

Just a little late with the official pics/links. Ah well. There's also a bunch of letter sticker patches but I kinda don't care about that. Sorry.

Addy's School Outfit and Book // $55
Item#JFP88
Addy wears this outfit Momma makes for her when she competes in a spelling bee at school. Pair this 6-piece 18-inch doll outfit plus book with the 1860s historical character doll, Addy Walker™
Includes:
An authentic replica of Addy’s™ School Suit & Blouse released in 1993: A blue wool suit featuring a white blouse, a flared skirt, and a fitted jacket lined with fabric scraps from Mrs. Ford’s shop, where Momma worked; and Addy’s spelling medal, a metal pin she proudly wears on her suit jacket
A pair of black knit stockings and a pair of black lace-up boots
An Addy Learns a Lesson paperback book with the original cover design
Of all Addy's classic core outfits, this has always been my favorite. What can I say, I'm a sucker for blue. I am not, however, a sucker for wool. It's on my list of fabrics that make me full body cringe, which is one of the reasons I hadn't already bought it. The other, as I mentioned in my last post about this release, is because the moths love the original version of this outfit and I didn't really want to deal with that. Thing is, I can only hold out so long. I do love BF Addy's blue school outfit too, but I do love me some AG matchy-matchy, so both it'll be. I'm still not quite sure why they're including the books with their Collector releases, but I'm also considering them basically a freebie since it's not like AG hasn't charged an arm and a leg for outfits with shoes before. Let me justify things to myself, okay?

Samantha's Birthday Outfit and Book // $55
Item#JFP87
Samantha’s “grown-up party” for her tenth birthday is nearly ruined when Eddie Ryland plays a trick—but an invitation from her new friends may save the day. Pair this 5-piece 18-inch doll outfit plus book with the 1900s historical character doll, Samantha Parkington™ (sold separately).
Includes:
A replica of the original Pinafore Dress & Rosebud Circlet from Samantha’s collection: a rose-and-white-striped taffeta dress covered with a crisp white pinafore that has ruffled lace “bretelles” and a wide sash that ties into a huge bow; white party socks; and Grandmary’s gift, the old-fashioned circlet of rosebuds that once belonged to Samantha’s mother
A pair of shiny black Mary Jane shoes
A Happy Birthday, Samantha! paperback book with the original cover design
Aw, AG snapped out of their failtogrophy long enough to get Sam looking cute. Am I the only one who thinks Sam looks kinda odd with her hair down? It's like seeing Kristy Thomas without her ponytail. Not bad, just...weird. I'll also be picking this one up to replace my eBay version that's borked. I will say I don't absolutely love this outfit but I do love the hell out of that pinafore. Some of Sam's outfits look fine with or without the pinafore but this one needs the extra lace. And I distinctly remember kid!me making a homemade version of that circlet and basically making a billion little fabric roses because it was addictive. I wonder if those types of socks still stretch out really easily.
Also, AG, don't fucking lie. That's not the original cover art. That is NOT MY SAMANTHA, DAMMIT.
Ahem.

Kirsten's School Outfit and Book // $55
Item#JFP89
When Kirsten starts school in America, she is beginning to learn English and works hard to memorize a poem for the class. Pair this 7-piece 18-inch doll outfit with the 1850s historical character doll, Kirsten™ (sold separately).
Includes:
An authentic replica of Kirsten’s School Dress with Shawl released in 1994: A red-print school dress that Kirsten’s mother made out of leftover material from her own dress, a plaid shawl to keep Kirsten warm on her long walk to school, and a pair of dark-blue woven hair ribbons
A pair of tan ribbed socks and a pair of cream lace-up boots with brown faux leather at the toes
A Kirsten Learns a Lesson paperback book with the original cover design
While I do not need this one, damn do Kirsten's outfits make me feel cozy. ♥ Also, so happy she didn't get forgotten again. I need to see if I've got multiple versions of these boots or not. *muses and plots*

Maryellen's Diner Accessories // $36
Item#JFP73
After a day at the beach, Maryellen loves to get a burger and shake at the Seaside Diner. Pair this 10-piece set of playset accessories for 18-inch dolls with the 1950s historical character doll, Maryellen™, and Maryellen’s™ Vintage Stove & Accessories (both sold separately).
Includes:
An aqua-and-pink striped apron with the Seaside Diner logo on the front
A pretend diner meal for two: a hamburger with stackable pieces, a hot dog with mustard, a strawberry malt, and a chocolate malt
Two plates, two metal spoons, and a serving tray to hold all the food items
I cannot take Maryellen seriously while she's wearing her fancy gloves to work at the diner. I just...what the frick? Who decided yes, this is the look and how many drugs were they on at the time?
Uh, this is a fine set. I absolutely don't see it being worth the price but I guess at least the spoons are metal so the dolls can dig their way to freedom.

Maryellen's 2-in-1 Outfit // $36
Item#JFP72
Maryellen is as sweet as a glass of pink lemonade in this outfit that features two ways to wear: a skirt for school and a romper for after class. Pair this 5-piece 18-inch doll outfit with the 1950s historical character doll, Maryellen™ (sold separately).
Includes:
An authentic 1950s-style outfit: a pink sleeveless button-front romper with allover lemon print, a full gathered matching overskirt, and a pink belt with a silvery buckle
A pink ribbon hairbow
A pair of pink canvas lace-up shoes with white contrast detail
Okay, I don't think Jess's suggestion to put this on Melody will work, but I'm sure this will look cute on one of the billion AG dolls I already have. I do not like it on Maryellen, at least not in any of the pics we've seen, but I do like the idea. The shoes are probably the best of this release, but the bar's kinda in hell. Still, I'll take a cute shoe win where I can get it these days. Seriously, this outfit appeals so much to my WTF AG side.

Maryellen's Accessories // $32
Item#JFP71
Maryellen’s™ 18-inch doll accessories are just right for adding an elegant touch to any outfit. Pair this 5-piece set with the 1950s historical character doll, Maryellen™ (sold separately).
Includes:
A pretend pearl necklace Maryellen loves to wear, plus a matching bracelet
An aqua-colored cable-knit purse to hold her things
A pair of white gloves with lace trim for a dainty look
A fun Florida-print handkerchief
Maryellen lost her autograph book and pen. I'm annoyed because now I have to track that version down. Dammit, AG.

Maryellen's Vintage Stove and Accessories // $125
Item#JFP74
Maryellen loves helping her family cook their favorite meals with this adorable 22-piece oven set. Get cookin’ with these playset accessories for 18-inch dolls, perfect for pairing with the 1950s historical character doll, Maryellen™, and Maryellen’s™ Seaside Diner (both sold separately).
Premium features:
A vintage-style pink oven with a built-in timer clock that really dings, four black stove burners and a removable metal griddle plate with handles, doors and a drawer that open and close, and a speckled interior. The other playset accessories can be stored inside the oven when not in use.
Also includes:
Pretend food items: a head of lettuce, a cluster of tomatoes, two sticks of butter, a set of onions, three cans of vegetables, a set of green peppers, and an aqua-colored stockpot with removable chili
A yellow strainer, an aqua skillet pan, a knife, a ladle, and a metal spatula
A red-and-white checkered dish towel and a cherry-patterned hot pad
Sweet merciful Zeus, that hot pad is cute as fuck. Hrmm. The one review (at this point) says, and the listing backs that up, that this is made of plastic primarily, so who the hell was out there saying this thing was hefty? In any case, I think it's cute as hell, but as with a lot of ME's stuff, there are some color combos that I just can't with. Though for the most part I don't mind pink and aqua, especially with the silver/chrome accents. I probably won't buy this, but I like that it exists...and I need that hot pad.
AG's food continues to be the best way to lose one's appetite without trying, though to be fair it's not like chili usually looks all that good.

Nanea's Accessories // $32
Item#JFP67
Nanea brings her accessories with her almost everywhere she goes as she finds ways to help in Honolulu, Hawai'i. Pair this 5-piece set of 18-inch doll accessories with the 1941 historical character doll, Nanea™ (sold separately).
Includes:
A necklace of speckled-blue faux-nerite shells
A cloth handbag made of palaka, a popular fabric worn in Hawai'i
Pretend money; during World War Two, money in Hawai’i had the word “Hawaii” stamped on one side
A square Pearl Harbor remembrance kerchief
A doll-sized Junior Citizens Service Corps book that details how girls like Nanea could help with the war effort in their community
If, like me, you wondered what the update was to these, it's depressing. They took out the letter from Donna, her airmail envelope, ID card and ID pouch. Love that 2019 was AG realizing they should beef the set up and 2025 is like "um, actually, no. This is too much stuff, so we'll take stuff away. K, bye."

Nanea's Care Kit // $40
Item#JFP69
Nanea and her friends take a first-aid class so that they can be ready to help anyone who’s injured. Nanea even has her own bag of supplies. Pair this 12-piece set of 18-inch doll accessories with the 1941 historical character doll, Nanea™, and Nanea’s™ Volunteer Outfit (both sold separately).
Includes:
A faux-leather shoulder bag with flap closure and floral detail that can hold the smaller items in the kit
A working flashlight with a white LED bulb that Nanea can hold
A pair of fabric bandage rolls, three sheets of reusable adhesive bandages, a bandage container, and a first aid booklet
Pretend supplies: a pair of scissors, tweezers, and a green and gray stethoscope that dolls can wear
I'm torn on this a little. That price is insane, which is par for the course when it comes to AG, but it seems more egregious considering wtf you actually get here. I don't mind plastic but I do mind plastic that you can look at and see it's gonna break down sooner rather than later. That tin of bandages should be metal (oh, how I used to love/loathe them. I still have one that holds my BSC cards for one of the boardgames) and those scissors look like they'll snap like a twig the first time a kid plays with them more than super gently. I also loathe the velcro on the bag. The white strip is just ugly. That said, I imagine this would get a fair amount of use, particularly those bandages and the working flashlight.
Obviously this freakout over the price versus the contents was done before seeing what AG had in store for Melody...

Nanea's Volunteer Outfit // $36
Item#JFP68
Nanea wears this outfit when she volunteers for The Honolulu Helpers, a group she and her friends started to assist the war effort. Pair this 6-piece 18-inch doll outfit with the 1941 historical character doll, Nanea™, and Nanea’s™ Care Kit (both sold separately).
Includes:
A white button-down shirt with short puff sleeves, a green and pink floral print skirt with attached suspenders, and a matching floral kerchief to wear around the collar
A white barrette shaped like a bow, a pair of white socks, and a pair of black flat shoes with straps
One of my favorite things about AG is seeing how similar and yet how different things are throughout history. I'm getting Courtney vibes from the colors and the style is obviously Molly/Nanea. I also know I will find myself confounded by those straps at least once. :p The bow barrette is giving me flashbacks to how often I'd snap them on my fingers.

Melody's Accessories // $32
Item#JFP76
Melody™ is ready to step out into the city with these stylish 18-inch doll accessories. Pair this 5-piece set with the 1960s historical character doll, Melody™ (sold separately).
Includes:
A blue felt hat with ribbon trim that she feels fancy wearing
A blue patent purse with a bow on the front to carry her things
Cool blue cat-eye sunglasses that were popular in the 1960s
A civil rights campaign button that Melody wears proudly
A record featuring The Three Ravens, Melody’s brother’s group
Shipping & gifting:
Shipping: Cannot be shipped outside the US or to Canada.
This product cannot be shipped to Canada.
I'll be so much happier when the US and Canada can be friends again. But I digress. Melody got off light because the only thing that went MIA from her accessories is the record sleeve. AG, are you really saving that much? Because it's stupid to remove that.

Melody's Salon Accessories // $40
Item#JFP78
Melody loves to go to Cousin Tish’s hair salon in Detroit for special occasions, including getting her hair styled for her Youth Day concert. Pair this 11-piece set of playset accessories for 18-inch dolls with the 1960s historical character doll, Melody™; Melody’s™ Salon Outfit; and Melody’s™ Salon Chair & Accessories (all sold separately).
Includes:
A replica of a 1960s tin of Madam C.J. Walker’s “Glossine Pressing Oil”—part of a line of beauty products created especially for Black women’s skin and hair by Madam C.J. Walker, the first female entrepreneurial millionaire in the United States
A light-blue satin sleeping bonnet to protect Melody’s hair overnight
A cream-colored handheld mirror with a 1960s-style floral design on the back
A pair of pretend hairstylist’s scissors that dolls can hold, a blue comb, a dark-pink hairbow, two coral-pink oval barrettes, and two light-blue bow barrettes
A sheet showing retro hairstyle ideas
You ever see a set that you like but you really, really find it impossible to figure out how they justify the price? *gestures* This is me with this set. We're going to ignore the obvious crazy elephant in the room because you know full well they were gonna charge this much before all the tariff shit hit the fan, and for what? Those barrettes are cheap as hell, the comb ain't blue and also can't be all that much, the sheet is literally paper, and that bonnet is also not bringing up the price. I... forty dollars, AG? The fuck?

Melody's Salon Chair and Accessories // $150
Item#JFP79
Flash back to vintage vibes and iconic hairstyles with this authentic retro-inspired salon set. Set the scene with this 9-piece playset for 18-inch dolls, designed to pair with the 1960s historical character doll, Melody™; Melody’s™ Salon Outfit; and Melody’s™ Salon Accessories (all sold separately).
Premium features:
An 1960s-style salon chair that plays authentic salon sound effects and music, featuring an adjustable bonnet-style hair dryer, wooden sides, a teal-colored cushioned seat with matching armrests, and a reclining footrest
Also includes:
A magazine rack with two pretend magazines
A hot comb dolls can hold and four pink foam rollers that can be used to curl and style dolls’ hair
I can smell the singed hair from the hot comb. I wish you got more than four rollers, though Melody herself probably only needs four. But kids will want more to do everyone else's hair, too, AG. Sigh. People are being weird about the 'magazines' and I'm just gonna sigh and move on. This is cute and I hope it's popular enough. I do wonder if it makes any sounds other than the dryer and the Welcome to Tish's salon.

Melody's Salon Outfit // $36
Item#JFP77
Melody wears this chic and cozy outfit to Cousin Tish’s salon—the perfect place for a new ’do before her Youth Day concert. Pair this 4-piece 18-inch doll outfit with the 1960s historical character doll, Melody™, and Melody’s™ Salon Chair & Accessories (both sold separately).
Includes:
An authentic 1960s-style outfit: a knit multicolored plaid sweater with a fold-back collar, a pair of pink straight-leg woven pants, a pink headband, and blue ballet flats with white braided trim
I... can't figure out what I don't love about this set. I think I just don't love it on Melody? It washes her out. So I'm thinking maybe she can't salvage ME's pink and yellow outfit. *muse* Need this on another doll or to see if on a non-stock AG doll.

Addy's School Outfit and Book // $55
Item#JFP88
Addy wears this outfit Momma makes for her when she competes in a spelling bee at school. Pair this 6-piece 18-inch doll outfit plus book with the 1860s historical character doll, Addy Walker™
