Merry Christmas

impyThis is going to be quick, but Merry Christmas.
We were all set to have our Charleston version of a white Christmas: rainy, muggy, and frequently foggy.
Then it was supposed to rain all day, with storms ramping up when I was scheduled to leave the hospital. My brother dropped me off in the morning and warned me that it was supposed to be windy, but also rainy and thunderstormy.
I cautiously go through the front door of the hospital (I hate when they make everyone use the emergency entrance) and as the door slides open and I attempt to take one step outside, a huge gust of wind tries to blow me back in the building. I'm not a tiny little wisp of a thing either so uh, yeah. Windy. It didn't rain until after I made it home and had been home for maybe an hour, so I got lucky there. Unfortunately as soon as I started working on dinner (big batch of beef stew so I could have it for dinner tonight, too), the power starts flickering.
Luckily any power loss was just for a minute or two here and there. The temps went from damn near 70 when I got home to *checks* 36 that feels like 30.

Date: 2020-12-26 02:16 am (UTC)It was rainy and gray here yesterday, and has been legit cold (temps in the 20s/30s) today. Needless to say, I haven't been outside, LOL. I have cycled through several pairs of Christmassy kneesocks, tho, so that's a win =)
Beef stew sounds yummy on a cold/rainy/gray day! I hope you enjoy it. Scritches to Ozma!
