Okay, depending on whether or not DW makes me break this up, this should be the other 'half' of the weird release AG did around Christmas. They released the Travel stuff before Christmas, I believe, and the other stuff right after Christmas on the 26th. But I'm counting it as the 2021 Release because, well, it's easier.

Let's start with the item I might've left off from Kira's release:

Kira's Care For The Earth Tote // $9
Item#HDF79
Perfect for Earth lovers! This reusable tote is perfect for a trip to the library, the farmers’ market, or a friend’s house. The adorable koala graphic looks just like Bean, the orphaned koala joey Kira works with at the veterinary clinic.

Did I share this in the Kira section? If not, here it is. It's not available until 1/15, but it's cute as hell. Alas, overpriced as hell as well. Otherwise I'd be tempted.

World Traveler in France // $36
Item#GWB61
Bonjour! From sightseeing along the Seine to the smell of fresh-baked baguettes, imagine being in France with this outfit that includes:
A black short-sleeved blouse with an Eiffel Tower print and a sequin collar
A pink boucle woven skirt with gold buttons, pleats, and a little bit of sparkle
A pair of pale-pink knit tights
A pair of shiny black shoes with sparkly pink hearts on the toes
A pretty pink felted beret with an embroidered heart for that extra “ooh, la, la”

Le sigh. I like almost everything about this aside from the pink glitter heart on the shoes. Really, the shoes themselves feel underwhelming with the outfit. However, it has taken me more than a week to realize this so I can't hold it against them too much.

French Souvenir Set // $18
Item#GWB66
Bon appetit! Get a taste of French culture and cuisine with these accessories inspired by France that include:
A woven tote with a black bow, handles, and “Bonjour!” embroidered on the front
A picnic-perfect baguette in a paper sleeve with a Parisian graphic
A set of three French postcards
A sheet of travel stickers to bring a bit of Paris home

I hate myself for loving these things as much as I do. I mean just look at how cute this is and then, well... it's a bag, some cardboard/paper, and a plastic baguette. And yet I want it. Seriously, this is actually on the more brilliant side for AG. People have wanted less expensive little accessory sets for eons and while no one's going to pretend $18 is cheap, for AG it ain't bad.

World Traveler In England // $36
Item#GWB64
From the streets of London to the rolling countryside, there’s so much to see in England. So, grab your mates and explore in this England-inspired outfit. Just remember to “mind the gap” on the Tube! This outfit includes:
A red plaid dress with a gold-button side placket and gold epaulettes on the sleeves
A skinny gold belt with a buckle to give the outfit a touch of glimmer
A pair of light-blue knit socks
A pair of shiny black boots with just a little bit of sparkle
A red fisherman-style cap with a navy brim and gold trim to wear while out strolling

Can we take a moment to discuss just how damn boxy this looks? I like the idea of it, in theory, but something went screwy along the way. Not sure what or how, but here we are. Will I still buy it? Mm, yes. I dig the boots and the socks and this feels like one that might look better in person.

English Souvenir Set // $18
Item#GWB69
From the Union Jack to centuries-old castles, these accessories are inspired by merry old England and include:
A glossy box purse with a shoulder strap and artwork of the Union Jack, the United Kingdom flag, on the front
A box with Union Jack artwork that contains chocolate truffles
A set of three English postcards
A sheet of travel stickers to bring a bit of London home

If you listen very carefully, you can hear people flip their shit over the purse not having the stripes in the proper places for the flag. Some think it's a legal issue, some are convinced it's just laziness. We may never know. I'm far more grossed out by how the lumped chocolate looks, personally. :P But as someone who lived through the Ginger Spice years and loved them, this is definitely coming home if it doesn't disappear ASAP.

World Traveler In Ireland // $36
Item#GWB65
Top o’ the morning to ya! Be inspired by the beauty of the Emerald Isle in this outfit from Ireland that includes:
A short-sleeved white tee with a shamrock graphic
A green plaid pleated skirt with a buckle on one side
A green cable-knit cardigan sweater for fighting off a chilly breeze
A pair of gold knit tights
A pair of lace-up brown faux-leather boots with gold trim on the backs
A gray herringbone tweed newsboy hat with a brim perfect for a walk along the cliffs on the coast

Well, this is just so cute I'm gonna die and there's a reason I think it's either the most popular or the second most popular of the bunch. It's just rather snazzy. I do absolutely hate that people have already decided that the hat must be for the boys. Like let the ladies have their hats, geez. I don't love the shirt but y'know, it's a tourist vibe and it fits that so here we are.

Irish Souvenir Set // $18
Item#GWB70
May the luck of the Irish be with you! It’ll be your good fortune to find these accessories inspired by Ireland that include:
A faux-leather messenger bag with a shoulder strap and an embossed Celtic knot on the front
A metal biscuit tin with three shamrock-shaped shortbread
biscuits—what you would call cookies in the U.S.
A set of three postcards from Ireland
A sheet of travel stickers to bring a bit o’ Dublin home

I am uncultured swine and when I see shortbread, I think Scotland, not Ireland. I do like that the cookies aren't clumped together and while the bag already looks halfway ready to fall apart, it also kinda works that way?

World Traveler Italy // $34
Item#GWB63
Ciao! Ever dream of strolling through open-air markets in Rome or gliding along the canals in Venice? There’s so much to love about this Italy-inspired outfit that includes:
A long dress with a pattern inspired by colorful hand-painted tiles, ribbon ties at the shoulders, and a ruffle bodice and hem
A pair of faux-leather sandals comfy enough for walking through outside markets
A straw fedora with a turquoise hat band for shielding the Tuscan sun

Well, not!Josefina is lovely, isn't she? ♥ And now's as good a time as any to mention that I love that when you go to the Travel page, you are shown the doll who's modeling the outfit/accessories alongside the set. Which is something AG should've been doing for awhile, honestly. It is a little bit of a pain when you first look because I'm so used to just seeing the new stuff but I appreciate it all the same.

Which is my way of saying I don't really know how I feel about Italy's outfit. This is one that I think I would absolutely love in people size but in doll size it doesn't do as much for me. Part of it's because I'm weird about colors (like I love the red/gold/yellow bits and the aqua/pink/pale yellow bits, but throwing them together with aqua ribbon isn't doing much for me) and part... nope, it's the color thing. Even as I'm sitting here knowing it needs the pop of red to make it work, I still don't love it. Why you gotta be difficult, self? It could also be that I hate that they don't line up. Pretty if I don't stare at it, can't say I'd buy it full price.

Italian Souvenir Set // $18
Item#GWB68
That’s amore! What’s not to love about this set of accessories inspired by Italy that include:
A woven straw circle purse with a shoulder strap and zip top, with “Ciao!” embroidered on the front
A serving of lemon gelato with a strawberry on top in a pretty dish, plus a tiny spoon to enjoy it with
A set of three Italian postcards
A sheet of travel stickers to bring a bit of Rome home

Italy's accessory set definitely gets lost in the outfit, but on its own, I like it fairly well. Still probably my least favorite of the accessory sets, but straw purses make me think of Sophia, even if this is nowhere near her purse.

World Traveler in Japan // $34
Item#GWB62
Konnichiwa! Exploring the world is so much fun—let’s go to Japan! This outfit was inspired by this Asian nation’s love of anime and fun fashion. Imagine being in Japan in this outfit that includes:
A mint-green tank top with a graphic that includes the word konnichiwa, which means hello or good afternoon
A pair of print paper-bag waist pants with a pink ribbon belt and pink satin bands on the legs
A pair of colorful platform sandals with ankle straps and rhinestones on the bands
A headband with a pair of sparkly pink pom-poms attached

-_-; No. Just... no. I like the style of shoe, but don't like the color combo. I like the dog on the t-shirt and the color of the shirt, but hate the style and just about everything else about this outfit. I'd probably have been on board with the poms being attached to barrettes but this look isn't for me. If it's for you, huzzah! I'm glad it works for someone.

Japanese Souvenir Set // $18
Item#GWB67
The energy of the bustling streets of the style capital of Tokyo comes through in these accessories inspired by Japan that include:
A see-through tote with graphic of a kawaii-style penguin on the front
Four colorful pieces of wagashi candy, a traditional Japanese confection, in a box with a clear lid
A set of three postcards from Japan
A sheet of travel stickers to bring a bit of Tokyo home

Annnnnnd this is cute as hell. Give me all the penguins!

Ultimately, Japan's outfit is the worst for me, with Italy's accessory set being the most meh, though I do still want it. I think this line is cute and a fabulous idea as it'll appeal to those with ties to those countries, whether it's cultural or simply liking the country/city. Putting it out with Kira traveling to Australia? Brilliant.

Workout Mix and Match Gear

Fiercely You Top // $10
Item#GWN74
Her doll will be dressed for activity in this heathered-gray knit tee with a graphic that spells out “Be Fierce and Fearless” in multicolored letters across the front.

I am a gray shirt. I am... here, I guess. It's nothing fantastic, it's nothing horrible. I don't think the ombre look for the BE works but that's nitpicky, really. Gray for athletic wear is a classic.

image host image host image host image host
Be Strong Long Tank // $ 12
Item#GWN76
Get her doll set for powerful moves in this navy tank top that sports a pink star graphic on the front. It has pale pink double straps and pink insets at the side seams.

I actually like this one. Had it been $10, I'd have used my reward for it, honestly.

image host image host image host image host
Star Power Shorts // $10
Item#GWN83
Dolls’ inner strength will come out in these navy shorts that have white trim on the curved edges, an elastic waistband, and a silver star on the side.

I like these, but they're gym shorts and thus kinda dull. Accurate and cute for what they are, but they don't get my heart racing. Which maybe they should if they're meant for athletic stuffs. :P However, I can just hear Abby and Kristy telling me to snag them so... they're on the list.

image host image host image host image host
Fiercely You Accessories // $16
Item#GWN84
A zip-top geometric-print belt bag that fastens around the waist, and a transparent pink visor with a striped twill band to shield the sun.

I just cannot get over fanny packs being a thing again. I remember loving mine but also being teased MERCILESSLY for it. So while I cackle with glee at them being a thing (Thank you, WW84 for Steve's fascination with his) they're also a bad memory. Eh. In any case, these feel very sporty but I don't love them to pieces. It's the sort of thing that if a bundle included them for free or a reduced overall price, I'd buy, but would probably not spend the money on them by themselves.

image host image host image host image host
Feeling Fierce Print Jacket // $16
Item#GWN77
Layer up any active look in this blue, gray, and pink geometric print zip-front jacket with pockets, a hood, and a star graphic on the chest—just like the girl-sized version! The sleeves have thumb holes and scrunch up for a sporty look.

This paired with the shorts I like. Paired with the leggings hurts my eyes. It's cute but busy. I think I'd like it more if the back were a solid navy or something, but I dig that it has pockets and just now bothering to read that it has thumbholes annnnnnnd sold, AG.

image host image host image host image host
Star Power Dress // $16
Item#GWN82
Make a strong and stylish statement with this pale-purple racerback dress that hits mid-thigh and has pockets on the sides, a pink star graphic on the front, and pink trim around the neck and arm holes.

It's not my look, but I appreciate it for being there? It's also reminding me that all the tennis courts belonging to complexes around here are disappearing and I'm wondering what that's about.

image host image host
Powerful Knit Sneakers // $12
Item#GWN85
She can get her doll ready for any activity in these laceless pink and coral knit sneakers with pink tabs at the front and back. They’re made of an allover knit for easy wearability.

Pink and orange isn't my favorite combo, but I like this. Possibly because it's a pinky coral so it works better. Who knows. These also look kinda comfy so that helps.

image host image host image host image host
So Strong Accessories for 18inch Dolls // $ 12
Item#GWN81
Add these accessories to any active outfit to make a powerful style statement. Includes:
A lavender sport top with navy trim and a star graphic on the front
White knee socks with two stripes at the top—one light-pink and one magenta
A geometric-print fabric-covered elastic hair tie to keep ponytails in place

The socks are adorable, I like the sports top, and the scrunchie is horrible when paired with that outfit but fine otherwise. It feels overpriced at $12 somehow, and yes, this is even with AG pricing. Maybe I just want to charge them for making me look at that ponytail picture. Maybe.

image host image host image host image host
Ruffled Skort // $ 12
Item#GWN78
Go for a look that’s fast and fashionable in this pink sport skort that has two tiers of mesh, a wide waistband, built-in shorts, and a foil star on the side.

*old lady voice* In my day, skorts looked like skirts from a distance but were really shorts, not shorts built into a skirt. Still, this is adorable and again, had it been $10, I'd have used my reward on it instead. Really do want this, though.

image host image host image host image host
Feeling Strong Terry Sweatshirt // $ 12
Item#GWN79
Dolls can rev up or chill out in this hot-pink French terry sweatshirt that has crossover detail on the front with pink and white striped ribbing, ribbed cuffs, and a silver embroidered star on the chest.

I waffle on this. Sometimes I look at it and think it's cute, though giving me a very retro vibe. Sometimes I look and want to die. I will say that perhaps I was too harsh on the scrunchie picture. Maybe I simply don't like it on this doll. Sweatshirt is confounding to me, so if you have thoughts, please sway me to your side.

image host
Resilliant Striped Leggings and Sweatpants // $ 16
Item#GWN75
Dolls can run faster, jump higher, or just get comfy lounging in these stretchy multicolored striped leggings or ankle-length pink French terry jogger sweatpants. The joggers have ribbed-knit trim at the ankles and waist.

I fully expected there to be a little disclaimer of dolls cannot actually run or jump at the end there. Woe for missed opportunities, I suppose. This set is probably the most tied to a release leggings set they've done in awhile. The sweatpants kind of complete the odd look with the sweatshirt, though I do like the pants on their own and I'm sure there's got to be a plain white tee somewhere around here. The striped leggings could work with a few other things I have tucked away, probably, but again feel pretty tied to this release. As it is, they feel like you have to buy them for most of the outfits to feel complete, so they also somehow feel like they're not super overpriced at $16. I just don't love them enough to be jazzed about them either.

image host image host
Ready Set Sandals // $ 10
Item#GWN86
On your marks, get set, go in these pale-purple sport sandals. They have two straps across the top and back straps to keep them on no matter what the activity.

Did sandals become a good idea as workout gear? Did I miss something? I like these well enough because I like this shade of purple (especially paired with white) but I don't look at them and think workout gear.

image host image host
Packed With Power Duffle bag and Accessories // $ 25
Item#GWN87
Raise star power to full strength at the gym or sports practice with this bag that’s filled with fierce accessories. Includes:
A nylon duffel bag with an allover print, a shoulder strap, and a mesh side pocket to hold a water bottle
A sport bag card that you can personalize with a sheet of stickers and then slide into the front window pocket on the bag
A clear glitter water bottle that dolls can hold
A set of three stretchy headbands in pink, purple, and turquoise
A turquoise pretend fitness tracker that fits on the doll’s wrist
A container of pretend deodorant
A small purple sports towel with an embroidered star for wiping off after a workout

Could have done without the coral accents if I'm being picky, but I like this set. Is it because I like the weird, random, wait-what stuff AG does? Yes. Dolly deo is a thing that I can't unsee now. I like the headbands and think they'd be useful. The fitbit thing is timely and I love a good bad you can actually put stuff in. I... just wince at the price as there's stuff I'd like more, y'know?

This part of the release isn't super for me, but I appreciate it being here and I also like that they have a mix of almost neutrals (the shorts actually are and the matching top is close) and some busier stuff for those who like that. The jacket is one of the dress like your doll things I actually would have wanted as a kid so that helps.

image host image host image host image host image host image host
Dot to Dot Dress for 18inch dolls // $ 28
Item#GWN89
Dolls can say “hello” to spring in this delightfully dotted outfit that’s perfect for a party or a picnic. The outfit includes:
A pale-pink dress with large black dots and an overlay of pink mesh with smaller black flocked polka dots, a tiered skirt, and ruffles at the sleeves
A pom barrette with a row of pretty pink pom-poms
A “hello” barrette with a scripted greeting
A pair of silver platform sandals with a row of pink pom-poms on the front and double ankle straps

I like the hello barrette. I like the pale pink and tiny polka dots. I like the shoes without the pompoms. I... hate the actual overall look. I might enjoy it if the giant black polka dots were more of a medium size or simply did not exist at all. I'm not sure if that would save the look or if the bottom of the dress would need to flare out a bit more to keep this from looking very bag-like on the poor doll. *muse*
My fashionistas, what say you?

Girl version has pearl buttons, Bitty baby and matching little girl versions also exist. The little girl version is cute but I could be swayed by how cute the kid is. I like BB's shoes but overall I think this gets a swing and a miss unless someone proves me wrong.

image host image host image host
Star Bright Tee // $10
Item#GWX90
This sporty tee has bright-pink side stripes and an inner star design, plus the American Girl logo.

Says it's not available any more but I think it's more a case of "just added, not in stock yet". Could be wrong based on how it's styled though. It's not my favorite. *shrug*

image host image host image host image host image host
So Many Shoes Storage Tower // $ 100
Item#GWN73
From cowgirl boots to sneakers to sandals, there are so many shoes to choose—and only two feet. Shop, try on, store, and collect them all with this special set that includes:
A purple storage unit with a mirror and seating on one side and storage shelves to hold up to 12 pairs of shoes on the other side
A pair of hot-pink jelly shoes
A pair of shiny turquoise shoes
Two pink American Girl shoe boxes with two pieces of tissue paper that fit on the shelves
A miniature American Girl shopping bag that fits both shoe boxes
A furry pink throw pillow to sit comfortably when trying on a new pair
A right- and left-foot shoe sizer to find the perfect fit

I admit that I haven't been able to closely monitor this release like I have others, but for a fanbase that screams Barbie at every turn, you'd think this would've prompted that hardcore as it looks like something straight out of a Barbie playset. Yet nary a whisper of the dreaded B word has crossed my path.
I want those jellies. I want the shoe sizer. I even kind of want the other pair of shoes. But the rest I could absolutely live without. Give Courtney her jellies, you heathens!

Ahem.

image host image host
Rainbow Glitter High Tops // $ 12
Item#GWN72
Add a crazy-colorful accent to any outfit with these rainbow glitter high-top sneakers. Hot-pink elastic laces make them a breeze to get on and off.

  Goddamn, these are cute. GIMME.

image host image host image host
Shine On Shoes // $20
Item#GWN70
Make every step a statement with these silver high-platform sneakers that light up purple and blue on the sides of the soles.

I damn near had a heart attack when I saw the price on these and then realized they light up. Light-up platform shoes! I do wish they'd bothered to show them off properly on the page though. Luckily my image grabbing tends to be thorough.

image host image host
Metallic Ballet Flats // $10
Item#GWN69
Want a fancy look from head to toe? Add these blue ballet flats that are made of a shiny metallic fabric and have glitter bows on the toes.

Blue? I'm pretty sure I've seen these in a different shade of purple (one of the pinkier shades) but not necessarily blue, so now I'm wondering what they copied and pasted. Or if someone just really can't tell the difference in purple and blue. *muse* I like these but I also feel like I have something very similar.

image host image host
Lots O' Spots Sandals // $ 10
Item#GWN71
Take a walk on the wild side with these cheetah-print sandals. They have two straps across the top, plus gold buckles and ankle straps to keep them on no matter how fast you’re moving.

I liked these a smidge better when I thought they were flocked. They aren't but they're different and probably my favorite generic sandal mold from AG, so we give 'em a pass.

image host image host image host
Unicorn Headband // $10
Item#GWN66
Dolls will get a truly unique look with this sparkly rainbow unicorn headband that matches the girl-sized headband. It has pink iridescent ears, a silver horn, and rainbow tulle.

Choices were made. Bad choices, but choices all the same.

image host image host image host
Gold Glitter Crown Headband // $10
Item#GWN68
Play princess in this gold glitter crown headband. It has a sparkly gold crown with pearl accents that sits on top of pouf made of gold and silver glitter tulle.

The unicorn horn is one thing but this just feels lazy or like something you could and should make at home instead. o_O

image host image host image host
Plenty of Poms Headband // $10
Item#GWN67
Add extra color and fun to any outfit with this headband that has five pom-poms in various sizes and colors that sit off to one side on a pink plastic headband.

It's not the worst of the trio and might be the best. It's giving me Pinkie Pie vibes. *shrug*

image host image host image host image host image host image host image host
Backpack Set for Girl and Doll // $48
Item#GWF27
Your girl and her doll will be all set for school in style with coordinating backpacks! Girls can choose from pink or starry blue, to go along with the pink doll-sized version. Backpack for girls (W: 5" x L: 11" H: 15") features a front pocket, main zippered compartment, adjustable padded shoulder straps, water-bottle holder, two inside pouches, and a clip to attach the doll backpack.

I'm guessing this is one that I simply missed because I rarely remember to check the Souvenir section. I like the blue version and wish the little doll one matched either instead of being its own entity. I will say that few things truly give me the back to school rush like a new backpack.

image host image host
Hugs and Well Wishes Balloon and Bear for 18inch Dolls // $18
Item#GPR73
Make her doll's return from the Doll Hospital extra special with a doll-sized balloon that says "HUGS!" on a stick the doll can hold, plus and plush bear just the right size to help her feel better.

This I know is older but I don't think we ever looked at it, so here's a bear and a balloon. There's a BB/Wellie version as well and uh, it looks identical. The handle for the balloon is pink and not white but that's about it. You'd think the bear or balloon would be a different size but I guess not.

There might be a couple of little things I missed or skipped (I think we discussed the plastic headband set at one point, right?) but these are the biggies.

Overall, I'm all over the Kira and Travel stuff with mild interest in a couple of the workout things and random shoes.
