The universe is mocking me. I do not appreciate it. After I hit post on my last ramble, I ran to get changed and head out on my late morning grocery run with Mums. Only, uh, the car battery was dead. So we waited for Widget's friend to come give us a jump and in that time Mums just had me order from the store for delivery. There was Widget yelling at his dad (ah, nothing like a day before your birthday fight, right?) and then it started to drizzle when Mums and I went out to charge said battery. We wound up at the shopping center with Joann's and I popped in to see if they had any Halloween. I didn't hold out a lot of hope as at this point Joann's is usually just fall and Halloween fabric. At first I did a happy jig as they had something fall out front, though I don't remember if it was actually the Funkins or some other fall/Havest thing. I went inside and it was still frickin' spring/summer which is most strange as every other year we're at summer with the tiniest leftovers of spring on clearance. I didn't see any Halloween fabric right away but did eventually find some and felt a bit better about things.

I braved Marshalls and it was a complete and utter failure on the Halloween/fall front. I did briefly debate Hairdorables or Cave Club dolls but wound up just sticking with my cherry popsicle scented candle that I then had to wait in line for eons for.


It's a damn good thing I did go hunting then as uh, the car battery is dead. Again. So... yeah. My plans are likely toast and I am vexed. :/
