Got my new glasses. They're awfully pretty and did need to be adjusted so now instead of leaping off my face, they're kind of too tight but that could also just be adjusting to them. The stock photos don't really do them justice as they're more blue in person. No real headaches or weirdness due to the new prescription and I wore them out and about after, so that's good. I was kind of worried since I'd skipped getting glasses last year due to the whole pandemic shit and my eyes are the wooooooooorst, but nah. To be fair, maybe the Tylenol I took earlier kept things at bay but who knows.
Mums and I did stop at BB&B and picked out a couple of pans and other goodies. I remember BB&B having more selection in the past. Like I'd fully expected to be able to find a friggin' soup ladle or two and yet my options were either "yeah, this is totally dollar store stuff" or "this is dollar store stuff but at a much higher price point and is still way too friggin' big to be useful." I don't even think it's pandemic supply chain stuff, I think it's they took out space so they could have an entire section devoted to K-cups. o_O
I did a little wandering on my own when Mom got tired and I didn't want to push because I knew we'd wind up going past the candle section and the smell would whomp her, but there are so few stores where I can kind of still feel Dad when I go in, and that's one of them. Pretty much every Christmas or before Mother's Day/May, he'd take us out to go looking for stuff for Mom. More often Christmas as you could get stocking-stuffers there, too, but yeah. Not as strong a feeling this time, probably because we were trying to avoid people (wear a fucking mask, you assholes) and some dude came over and I swear to god, seemed to just do so to make the loudest, most obnoxious sound. Not came over to look at something and it happened to make that sound, repeatedly, but came over to move something and kept doing so because he could tell the sound was driving me bonkers.
Not smart, bro, when I'm literally right in front of the cast iron skillets. Like Rapunzel, I know how to throw down.

Anyway, came home and managed to remember to participate in the #BettyWhiteChallenge and donated to the CAS. I never manage to time these things properly but I did this go round.
Trying to decide if I want to watch The Eternals or take this headache to bed.
